Thanks for including my article. I'm definitely one that just needs a new challenge every so often. I'm not content doing the same thing over and over.
Hey tip to avoid loosing your articles. Use a text editor like Notepad++ to type up the initial draft, then paste that into Wordpress. I used to edit online too until I had the same thing happen a few times.

@BripBlap - I agree, but only if my choice was between my laptop or a notebook. I use the notebook and the cell phone anyway, so conserves resources to stop using the notebook and just use the laptop and phone.

Steve, excellent article. I found GTD a bit complicated too, but I think the concepts are dead on, you just have to adapt the process to what works for you. It's a framework that requires customization for each individual.
I love Moleskines, but am concerned about the impact of our use of paper these days on the environment. I've been trying to go more electronic.
Instead, I use the voice recorder on my cell phone to make notes, add to-dos, etc. Then when I am in front of my computer I replay those and jot them down in a simple text file to-do list. I then pick up where you do and move them to a calendar, or text file, etc. For longer notations, i use a voice recorder I bought on amazon. This works great for article ideas or if I hear something on the news I'd like to write about, i can just record it.
While the use of paper is often simpler, I would encourage everyone to consider the impact of everyone reading this article using a paper notebook. That's a lot of trees.

Well, I know you want me to say "No" to the new blog, but I say go for it. If you're passionate about it, write about it. I started one recently on saltwater fish aquariums (forgive me for the shameless plug) which is one of my hobbies. Gather Little by Little still gets the most of my focus, but I really enjoy writing over on the saltwater blog too.
I'd say start it and see where it goes! Thanks for including my article!

in Personal Finance Bible Verse of the Day: Storms on Bible Money Matters
Really nice write-up. We all have those college moments we are too proud of, but at the same time those experiences build who we are today. Paul, in my opinion, the greatest and proficient writer of the Bible and also one of the most Godly men in the new testament was an vicious tax collector. I think Paul's past life made him a strong man of God.
Thanks for the link and for talking about my article.

Brad wins the prize I think. The whole parable is about how us as children of God can drift away, succumb to sin and always return t0 our Father and receive his "riches" and all that He has.
Plonkee, in this parable, things don't return to the way they were the day after. It's all about a clean slate.
Good article Steve, and very nice modernization...wish I would have thought of it!

Great article. I've kept all of my favorite novels and now enjoy watching my children read them and talking to them about them.
Favorites from childhood I still have: Stephen King novels (Cujo, Christine, etc.), Sword of Shannara series by Terry Brooks, The Hobbit and LOTR, Xanth series by Piers Anothony, anything by R.A. Salvatore. I also fondly remember the three investigator series
Obviously I'm a big fantasy buff too :-)
