in Twitter does have track (Scripting News) on Scripting News
That's sort of what I think track should do and used to do. But the one thing that doesn't so is push the results of the track to me. Before twitter turned it off, I would get an SMS anytime one of my track results came up. I used it quite a bit to find new people to follow in the early days. I do use the search and find it valuable, but its something I have to find time to do rather than having the service working for me in the background all the time. The search based track fill-in always makes me feel like I am missing something.

in The Offline Wars about to heat up? on Scobleizer
The one thing MS has going for them in all of this is Foldershare. It has allowed me to move between 5 different machines and never worry about having the latest version of any file, nor about moving an update file back to the rest of the machines. I just...work. Now this is for my business work. For my personal life I have migrated (not really intentionally, but just by behavior) everything to the cloud with the exception of my personal finances (still use Quicken...but looking hard at Mint). For the way that most business users think and work today, MS has a goldmine on their hands with Foldershare...wonder why they don't promote it more?

in Who cares about conference Wifi anymore? on Scobleizer
Robert - two things real quick:
1 - on yours and others loud praises I got a Verizon EVDO card a few months ago. I have been really happy with it so far, except when I travel to Seattle, specifically Redmond. Of all the places I go Redmond and Bellview seem to have almost no reception. Did you have any problems when you were on campus at MSFT?
2 - on your comment about conference organizers making sure to have plenty of access to power outlets, might I suggest an external battery from Batterygeek. I am in no way affiliated with them, but have been a happy customer of their's for 6 months. I use one of their portable power stations whenever I go to conferences. On a recent trip it powered my HP TC4400 for the flight from Cincinnati to Seattle and then straight into a 8 hour conference. If you want to be completely wire free this is the ticket.
