You're right, totally not work safe. In fact, totally not foreigner safe either ;-) I'm counting down the days I return home to Malaysia now (yes, I've got the countdown widget sitting in Dashboard now). I'm hungry... hmm...
Looks like you had a good time. This is something I clearly miss, one month of Ramadhan food. Yum.

in Why I Left Apple Retail on Popagandhi
@lth: well, to be honest, i have a fair collection of macs, and one lone ibm laptop. with every mac, or apple product, you get at least two stickers... i have a collection of those too. so i did stick one on my ibm. its rather common to see me working side-by-side on a powerbook (i'm a linux/ppc person) and an ibm.

I of course made his life ridiculously painful and argued with him till he let me thru. And this isn't the first time.

how'd you find out that fairview had a flea market? that was my alma mater, back in the day when they weren't even on Jalan Ampang :P
sorry to hear it sucked. i recall it being a whole heap more fun ages ago, but things have changed, most certainly

You answer to #3: "Sorry, I just don't have the feelings for you. You understand, right, that I must have the feelings for anything to happen?" And put on a pout.
Thats the best thanks but no thanks. Nice guy will be crushed, but most likely he'll be nice enough to swallow it in, and still continue to being nice to you.
He'll be a doormat all over again ;-)

wow. it all looks so yummy, and i am craving for any, if not bananas alone. however here we've got a banana shortage, and when we do find it, it may go for a little over $10/kg.
i haven't sighted bananas in a while... boy do i miss bananas

i have a jpegrecover tool (its something I whipped up in C, on a taxi ride back at about 5am in the morning), and it will run on OSX/Linux just fine. it recovered all my jpg's (I didn't shoot raw back then... but i'd imagine its still fairly easy to change the header matching)
do you want/need it? drop me some mail...
btw, 6gb card? there's a reason I carry several 1gb cards :P i find that to be safer
the important thing now is, till you've recovered the images, don't overwrite the card. keep it in a safe place till you get 6gb of data back (which you generally will, don't worry)
[-(byte@serena)-(ttyp1)-(06:26P:11/05/2006)-]
[-(~)> ls -alF code |grep jpeg
-rw-r--r-- 1 byte byte 1375 Oct 30 2005 jpeg_recover.c
yup, still have it sitting here. phew :-)

Eventually, we all become racist, or end up leaving the country. I think this is still why Malaysia doesn't recognise dual citizenships...
But that doesn't stop the flock of permanent residents, greencard holders, and ex-Malaysians from being created...
The next time you see the rude kid, give him a little gum... the one that came outta yer mouth.

The appeal is good writing material. But I don't know why there's a recent craze... I've been using it for yonks, and they're sitting here or there... Acid-free paper is good!
Thanks ArtificiallyVerbose, I have never bought a Moleskine in Malaysia... Always Internet-ordered, or bought overseas, for the last semi-decade or so

Keep in mind the other reason to shop in Borders is that they're rumored to sell the wonderful Moleskine notebooks! So if I ever move back to Malaysia, I know a local supplier ;-)
Borders in Australia are also one of the few suppliers of Moleskines.
Once you write on one of them, there's no turning back!
P/S: Nice picture btw. It looks like you took some effort in getting it. Kudos.

Hey, it turns out Jet Airways is really not that bad an airline! I flew them for my first time a couple of months back and must say I enjoyed it. Its a "budget airline", without the budget feel.
Only caveat in my opinion, was the recommended method of having a life-jacket: use your seat!
