I like McCain personally, but couldn't vote for him unless, as his mommy said, I held my nose and had to. Everytime I start to like him I remember the Gang of 14 who opposed the President's up and down vote for judiical nominees... McCain joined with Reid and Democrats to preserve the fillibuster against Roberts and Alito! What the??

And his position/record on illegal immigration is horrid.

As per winning the war..... my husband worked under Petraeus and is now in the office with GEN Caldwell, whom you might remember was in Iraq for a year or so as MNF-I spokesman. He's taken Petraeus' place.

My hubby is active duty Army and an OIF vet. He works particularly in the realm described here: Islamic terrorism. A brief overview:

We are slowly winning the GWOT. The terrorism we see is not Muslim, it is "terror veiled in the cloak of Islam" as PM Nouri al-Maliki said in 2006. Al-Qaeda and insurgents are no more Muslims than David Koresh was Christian. They are apostates and heretics. The Muslim world is finally standing up against it in larger numbers denouncing the terrorism as such. They are, after all, targets by the nutcase extremists along with the West or anyone else who doesn't agree with them.

I like Dell in that their support is free, but 3/4 of the time I cannot understand the customer service... apparently they hire a LOT of Korean women to man the phones.

Microsoft is worse. We have a similar problem going on with our upstairs computer and had to reinstall the whole thing and are missing drivers. We cannot reinstall Microsoft Office because of their pirating technology so they say we've downloaded the software twice already. Customer service is $50 an e-mail or $50 a phone call to Microsoft! What a gip!

I hate computer problems. I suggest a Mac next time.

Downloadable is great, but You Tubable is great for sharing. My prefer Brightcove. It's a higher quality You Tube. Smaller audience, but the look is better.

Where are the good old days when war movies used to favor the troops, not make them out to be sex addicted druggies? It's very discouraging and why I have a hard time watching modern war/soldier movies.

I never liked KISS but you did a fantastic job of unveiling how even the most privileaged among us melt in the presence of a soldier. This was really moving, and I'm an Army wife! I see this stuff all day long.

The Fox News moderators were head and shoulders above the other debate moderators thus far. The questions were serious, the counterquestions poignant.... it was a professional debate thanks to the moderators.

The screen cap you posted above is at the moment Rudy Giuliani responded to Ron Paul. I was surprised the moderators let him respond but they must have known the comments begged a response.

The Dems are funding, orion, WITH the string attached of a withdrawal date. If you'd been following the story you'd know that. It is not the Congress' place to decide when when the soldiers come home, only to fund or not after they send them to war.

Obviously that's the problem.

Ms, I'm sorry but I couldn't watch past the intro. The video looks great, but Montel is an $$%@*#*&!! He's obviously bitter about something and his straff is always contacting military families to appear on his show. He brings out the proverbial violin when talking about the troops... if he REALLY cared about them, he'd let them do what they volunteered to do: DEFEAT THE ENEMY.

He has no understanding of the war, that this mission in Iraq was US policy since 1990, that Bill Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 into law and that Clinton bombed WMD sites in Iraq in Dec. 1998. He has no business talking about foreign policy.

I don't understand why people who oppose the war try to take away American's right to serve in Iraq if that's what they want to do. I thought these people were pro-choice? Over and over again, soldier enlist and reenlist for the purpose of serving their country.

Montel and people like him are sadly clueless about the war. It's easy for people to jump on the "this war is a failure" bandwagon just because it's a war and its easy to point to blood and guts as failure, but not so: it's only a failure if we allow Americans to foil the war effort. THEN it'll be a failure.

Those comments are totally in sync with all the soldiers we know, particularly those of NCOs, who are the backbone of the military. They feel disgusted and disappointed (to say the least) at the shameless demagoguery of democratic politicians at their expense.

As an Army wife, I live and breathe this stuff every day. We all feel, with a few exceptions, that the democrats are being dispicable.

I couldn't watch the Dixie Chicks and the Grammys. It's such a sludge fest. In the end, the Chicks aren't ready to make nice with reality, and that's their problem.
