Good initiatives. I like the idea of building a community. This idea is viral-able.

Ping.fm seems like the perfect solution except for one catch. The tool takes some time before you can see your updates live. Hope that is something they aim to look into, or already have.

Thanks Rupesh. I mentioned IMified in a post before and this was meant to cover tools not mentioned there. I should have mentioned the link in the post.

There is a certain trust factor that comes with brand Microsoft for many people, even with the plethora of web companies today and in this age of Google, partly because of its omnipresence in our operating systems. The initial excitement will be there I suppose and the rest depends on how the product fares out.

Yup. There are some more good mobile apps for Gtalk and maybe we should do a list on them as well.

Yahoo Search Gallery looks promising and would be good if they can replicate this for the mobile phone search as well.

Good perspective, Kristen. We ave seen aggregation of our social media presence with services like Friendfeed. Time to aggregate relationships and contacts, and this should be the right direction.

Dunno. But I tend to buy my monthly kitchen requirements in bulk, then supplement it in smaller portions for fresh vegetables. Out here, these marts are competing against each other offering the best prices for everything. Matter of choosing between the.

Maybe Zeer can add best prices of groceries across towns by tying up with stores in the later stage. Like I need milk, get it from xyz store, sorted by lowest price or nearest to my location.

till So you would go to 10 different stores because they like each offer the lowest price in milk, cheese, tomatoes, etc.?

Another thing I have noticed is that the interface at Fuser is superb and innovative. Pageloading might be an area you might want to look into at your beta period. Whatsay?

Eric You're right, Palin our page loads are not as fast as we want them to be. Our next release (in roughly the next month) is focused on significant performance improvement as well as enhancements to the UI. We think our users are going to be very pleased with the big step forward we'll be making.

We will be looking forward to the beta invite then, Mark.

anonymous These closed betas are really getting on my nerves. If I can't go and start using the service immediately, frankly it is of little use.

Good perspective, Brian. The thought of sharing your email and other social network logins and passwords to some startup company could be concerning. That's something we need to take a call on.

Gruvie looks like a service worth keeping an eye on and it might actually be nice once they more services they can aggregate.

Thanks for sharing these services, Jared. I am yet to check them out after I got invited to their private beta.

I guess the requirements differ from people to people. For some a simple aggregation of emails might be enough while for others, the aggregation can go on to include social media sites and micro blogging services. But I believe there is a strong need for aggregation services and they might work well if they can bring some simplicity to our using the plethora of social media sites today.

I's s an interesting concept and one that could work well in the US market perhaps. In India, online shopping is still in its infancy with most of the online shopping sites like ebay, Rediff, BigBazaar, and Indiatimes competing for whatever small traffic of Indian online shoppers constitute today. Now Storrz adds another layer, social networking, to it, which for the average shopper spells more complexity. It will be interesting to see indeed how this will work out well.
PaulGlazowski Definitely. Worth keeping an eye on, for sure. Lots of big shopping sites, but maybe this social element will be Storrz's secret sauce, so to speak.

Come to think of it, that's a little strange on Google's part. I also see a number of scams and fraud money making schemes floating as Google ads. Also there are people doing affiliate link marketing Google Adwords. It's a big market out there.

in AOL Acquires Lifestreaming Service Socialthing on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
Been some time since Socialthing has been in private beta. The expectations are increasing and they need to come out with something as exciting, if not, like friendfeed. For the time being, socialthing is serving just as an aggregation.
