I need an answer too because my boyfriend's mother is very guilty of this. Not only is she chewing with her mouth wide open, she's talking the entire time. It's so gross that I'm afraid I'm making awful faces at her. I've contemplated saying, "why don't you finish chewing before continuing your story. I don't want you to choke!" It's been a while since I've popped by. Your blog looks so different! Sorry for being such a delinquent bloggy friend. A lot has been going on. I know that's no excuse though. Now that I'm on hospital bed rest until the baby is born, you should be hearing from me more often! :)

As for the profile photos, that is really hard! They're all great photos! I love #1, but it's kind of far so you can't really see your beautiful face. I think my next fave is #6.

You've got such a beautiful smile!

Have a great weekend! What about the conservative who support it?

Why wouldn’t both people benefit? Who is the servant? If they make babies aren’t they fulfilling the “purpose” of marriage?
Ah-ha he just stated the reasoning behind why a lot people against IR D/M are against it.

“My parents taught me blah, blah, blah”
Most folks won’t admit it but they learn this crap from a young age. Heck, most of them don’t even realize how ingrained these beliefs are. I don’t think kids are inherently predjudice when it comes to race. It’s LEARNED and a lot of parents are the initial driving force behind it. And until parents/guardians start taking responsibility for teaching their kids tolerance, this type of thinking will perpetuate forever.

Also, fear and rejection. “My parents will disown/reject/kill/write me out of the will if I blah, blah, blah”
Why are financially independent, responsible adults so afraid of their parents when it comes to these matters? I mean, matters that cause no harm and are silly compared to the strong reactions they cause. Sorry, I guess I don’t understand this way of thinking because I never gave a crap about what my folks thought of who I was dating. As long as he is treating me right, who cares what he looks like?

Will someone please explain what “he won’t make it with his people” means? I’m referring the comment about the “redbone.” Does this mean he is a hybrid breed who is incapable of reproducing? Like a donkey or something?

Ummm, so I guess this means that people who are mixed with anything (asian, Indian, Hispanic) are black too? Last time I checked a white/asian kid didn’t look a thing like black person. But maybe that’s just me.

This guy cracks me up. He’s worried about the white race being exterminated. Again, there are so many parts of the world where a dominant race prevails and has no chance of extinction anytime time soon. I’m thinking India and China as two examples. Maybe he should move there so he can hid from us black folks trying to homogenize the world. Lol.

As long as he is responsible for that child, it doesn’t matter who thinks what about him.

Fear is a big motivator. I disagree with the statement that white people are more opposed to IR D/M. More vocal? Maybe, but not worse. As a young black woman who constantly hears “What’s wrong with black men? Why can’t you find a nice black man to marry rather than a [insert race]” I have to say that opposition is strong on both sides.

Ugh, how ridiculous can you get? Kidnapping. Really? Terrible. So sad to see her cry. All this goes back to my previous comment about upbringing.

Re: Tor & Sufjan Stevens – Illinoize (The Remix Tape)

nicely done

Re: Lost Reviews

Gaffer #4, eh? The great shooter will not because they know how much they are worth. Great shooters start @ $2,000 and are worth every penny. However, most people don't nit pick that hard. So it's up to your preference. I'm happy to have those memories. I question whether I'm really living in the best way now though. These materialistic things that consume my days now aren't really making me any happier. If anything, I think they're keeping me from being happier. I long for the caliber of relationships and the quality of lifestyle I had before I "grew up".

Re: Reminiscing Part 2

Wow, now you really have me thinking. I've been in this phase for a few years but you just made me realize that recently my materialism is an attempt for other's acceptance in hopes I can have true friends as I did as a young adult. It's not working either! I suppose it will never work because if someone is my friend due to the clothes I wear, the car I drive or the pool in the backyard I'm allowing the cycle to continue and ensuring I will only have shallow friendships!

Re: Eyes Wide Open

Are you sure you're across the pond? I think we met the same couple too. Creepy aren't they? I was very excited at the prospect but after viewing the establishment, we decided to pass too. My interest had been piqued by that time so we searched for a place that was a little more our speed-no stench, people who didn't scare the crap out of us and some cleanliness. Everytime we find a potential place it's the same thing:dirty, smelly and full of scary people.

Re: Eyes Wide Open - Part 2

I'd love to but unfortunately, my partner isn't quite as open minded as yours.

Re: Oh No…

Only you know best Miss U. Seeing some of them still sitting in the wrappers doesn't make me feel like I did a very good job.

Re: For your information…

I'm sorry this happened to you too. Oh, and what an exciting life too!

I can sort of relate to being a foreigner in a different country and starting from scratch, as I left Canada for a few years to live and teach in Japan. It was the most challenging, yet the most amazing few years of my life!

Now, I'm a city girl who has fallen in love with a farmer and I have been "transplanted" on an island in the middle of one of the Great Lakes (in Canada). It's a crazy life, but what's life without excitement? :)

P.S. I just surfed in via BlogHer. Before that, the R-controlled council was a willing co-conspirator in keeping these debts off the books. Bart filed a lawsuit to see if the state should pay all the costs - too bad for Marion Co. taxpayers the court disagreed - but at least he went down that course to try to avoid the run-up debts. Now it appears he WILL have to deal with it, again, THANKS to the Republicans!!! Sorry if that means pointing fingers, but that's reality. Peace out.

Re: CPA Exam Score Release Predictions - April/May 2009 Window - Wave 2

Maggie,

I'm in a very similar situation. There was no research on how chiptune artist make their music. Its not as if they (chiptune artists) sampled videogames they actually use software & hardware much like a for example a producer/beat maker would.
2. The bleeps and blips comment on how can they own the rights, like stated above they (chiptune artist) in question on the controversy didnt sample videogames to make the songs that CC ripped/sampled. They (chiptune artist in controversy) worked hard to make those tracks that CC ripped and all they (chiptune artist) asked for in using their music was a mention NOT money and a request that it was ok to use the samples.

So as above the comment about the bleeps and blips so your saying if i made a melody on my guitar and someone came and stole it and called it their own it would be ok.....because i make the guitar myself. thats the part i dont understand in your article.

Re: What are the fucking chances?

Haah, puas are trying to AMOG you via radio... who woulda thunk it

Re: LR: Welcome to the Jungle!

"She gets there and her face looks even better."

Sounds like you're growing reasons to be consistent with your actions - Haah couldn't resist. A very Thievery Corporation type groove as opposed to a hip-hop oriented one and if anything it speaks against the "money-mongering" you claim the song is about. Chuck D is on the track, c'mon, how much dollar worshiping could be on the track. Very little after a critical listen. Thanks for putting a good album on point.

Re: The Absolute Best Songs of 2009 (Half Way There)

Its funny that most people ask "who are these people" It is ridiculous how most people do not listen to music and they just go by what they read on the tabloids or they listen to somebody because they are on MTV. This state will under no circumstances (and believe me, to my chagrin), slow its growth (nevermind stopping or even shrinking). That's pretty much it, even for those working hard through legitimate channels to slow growth. Yes, we do have groundbreaking new growth management laws here in Florida, but they will not so much stem the flow, as direct it to make more sense--e.g. school concurrency mandates that new development be tied to availability of room in schools (if there's no room, you may have to wait to develop; BUT they WILL make room by building new schools). It's a novel idea, huh? But, even after all these hurricanes the money and the people will still keep pouring in.

Re: Easy homemade yogourt

Check out a great book on making many, many things yourself (with resources in the back for materials, etc., too). _Better Basics for the Home: Simple Solutions for Less Toxic Living_ by Annie Berthold-Bond. I have forsaken contact with all women with whom I've been involved, including my ex-wife (she does not desire contact as she ran away with someone else she fell in love with after we'd been together 7 years without a fight). I have let my wife know that the older men who disrespected and used her when she was a teenager are not people I'm comfortable with her seeing, although I've been decent when we've run into them. I have never cheated on a woman nor hurt one; I stayed home (sober) with both my boys since they were born and changed 20,000 diapers and cleaned the house and did the laundry and rebuilt the house until I finally lost my health, and now am permanently disabled and chronically ill. And I know what this schmuck is thinking when he calls my wife after two and a half decades--she was beautiful then and she still is. Maybe he likes to talk, but he also remembers every second and cherishes the memory. I was middle-aged once myself. As far as my feelings necessitating jealousy--nonsense. Some people have very deep feelings and some men are highly protective and have a strong sense of honor and decency. So what if they don't match yours? I don't want to control my wife; I want to protect myself from feeling like perchloric acid is being poured directly into my aorta. I am hard wired to be who I am, a deeply caring husband and father, layers and layers of experience going back lifetimes, an empath, but no brute. I feel like I'm being violated, and it's hell. Yes, there are problems with the relationship--among other things, my wife is the third generation in her family with Borderline Syndrome. My life swings between extremes of sweetness and hell over which I have no control except to leave my family, and this "facebok" thing is emblematic; with so many people out there one can be friends with, why someone that makes one's spouse feel overwhelmed with unhappiness? I don't mind her having male friends per se, as long as there are clear boundaries. People are different, and people in a marriage need to be careful not to hurt their partner if the partner is trying hard.

Re: None

Hello,

Thanks for your email and interest in renting my house..I am Sara Petron, the owner of the house you are making enquiry of...Actually I resided in the house with my family, my husband and my only daugther before and presently we have moved out due to my transfer from my work now in Warsaw,Poland. The address is home to Kaleidoscope Medical Associates.

No one answered the telephone after business hours Thursday at Kaleidoscope.

Most practices at 420 Coventry Drive in the township.

The signs primarily reflected political opinions and sentiments opposing abortion, authorities said.

The incidents occurred between Oct. 23 and Nov. 2, police said. Most turned himself in to police Thursday morning.

He is charged with five counts of harassment, four counts of criminal mischief, three counts of theft and a single count of public display of obscenity.

Contacted Thursday night, Most said he did not want to comment.

He said the charges are "so humiliating and so false."

The psychologist also asked if the story about the allegations could be "buried" in the newspaper.

Most has been quoted in The Express-Times after being asked for his professional opinion on news stories related to psychology.

Most was released after police charged him. I don't want to hear it is hard to quit. It is a personal choice to continue and your choices are to smoke or die, very simple. Let's punish bad driving, not the propensity to be a bad driver. Drinking may impair some drivers to the point that they become reckless drivers. For other drivers, something as mundane as having a conversation with a passenger is enough to make them a reckless driver. Some say certain genders or races are worse drivers than others. Let's just stop with the guessing, and punish the bad driving, not the propensity to be a bad driver. Some people are perfectly capable of being safe and having a beer on the way home from work.
