I know it must have been awkward when Senor Cardgage was talking about his experiences and scary when he got lost, but the whole account sounds sitcom-worthy.

I also read your entry on canvassing. I also had the misconception it was to "persuade" voters and recruit them. I'm glad to hear it is not the case (at least not in the U.S.). If it was, I'd feel bad for any Conservative or similar canvassers who visited our house. My father would definitely try to debate with them if that's what they were doing. LoL

Re: DAGRON

I love them.

Re: Laser technology

Haha, of course the kids would find it cool. I'd have found it cool too when I was a kid. They had something similar in Vegas with graphics projected on an dome over a street complete with 80's music.

Re: Blatant, hack writer-crafted metaphors

Wow... This also means I lied since I mentioned somewhere how there would not be huge lines for voting early on. Oops.

Re: The follies of avoiding weirdness

I would have done it since it's not directly in the office and the only chance anyone would know is if they looked out the window. If the window was far away, they may think you had some important business to attend to via the iNet and would not know it was a tv show. Then again, I'm pretty weird. I watch Billable Hours, complete with a guy dressed as a pigeon and shirtlessness, during breaks in my current workplace and will continue doing it in a common area (but not in the open office) when I get back to my regular location.

Re: Obsequious web crawler

So you're into saving people, hunting things?

It says I'm a ISTJ - The Duty Fulfiller. I should get married, work a typical job, have 2 kids, and do what's expected of me. I also like being alone and should have my house, with the white picket fence, located in the woods.

Re: Mutual welfare and benefit

A clever idea. Okay, I was buying makeup and shiny objects. My messages are not that bad compared to the posted one. That is some horrid grammar.

The "I'm laid off" thing is kinda iffy. It's a little embarassing to use a personal situation to try and save a quick buck. Only my opinion. Anyway, perhaps the niece is a writer (or an avid LJer/internet user LOL )and would love a proper desk.

Yes, I think that outside of formal business situations, some people don't care how they present themselves to the world. They may think Craigslist or the internet is informal enough that they can get away from proper grammar.

Re: A photo.

This picture makes my day and is so awesome. :D

Re: The Legend of Duck

People occasionally steal statues here to sell them for scrap metal. Parts of those descriptions remind me of myself. Oh yes, and I'm more angry now than in the past. Before I was calm and let things slide to the point of being a pushover. Nowadays, I don't let people get away with things. I try to be more assertive than simply snarky, though.

Oh my, I thought only buses in Alberta did that. How horrible of the driver. The best scenario would be bus ticket compensation. *crosses fingers* At the very least, I hope the driver is reprimanded.
