They aren't issuing these in the same viral marketing method that gmail expanded.

Re: PearBudget: An elegant alternative to managing personal budgets

Steve,

Looks interesting. I imported the base Pear spreadsheet into Google Spreadsheets, from which both of us can access the spreadsheet without having to keep an offline version in sync. I'd be interested in seeing an online budget tracker (a secure one) as I'm increasingly moving my key data tools to the cloud.

Re: A great post about online storage on Burnham’s Beat

heed,

Thanks for the information. I'll send the details of my experience to Omnidrive. For the readers here, basically the challenges that I've seen so far with the integration have to do with Firefox 2.0 locking up on occasion, and some Word documents sent to Zoho timeout during the process.

Nitin

Re: Mindmapping with FreeMind

Harry -

I've tried NovaMind in the past, and it is quite good. It is also platform dependent, and my goal is to wean myself off of any particular platform, which makes FreeMind an ideal candidate.

I also think that many people shy away from mindmapping applications because the commercial ones tend to be expensive. FreeMind is, well, free. Not a bad way to dip your feet into the mindmapping waters, if you ask me.

Re: Highrise, 37Signals finally ready to reveal it’s contact management application

Parama,

It looks interesting. There are several open source applications that have been ported over to the N800. You can find that list at www.maemo.org.

Nitin

Re: Nokia N800: Not really for the rest of us (yet)

Hotel Guy - I think the N800 is a good attempt at moving to true mobile connectivity. The evolution is clearly underway with iPhone. The problem with both, in my opinion, is that they are still early stage solutions and lack the necessary ingredients (a real keyboard for example) to assure mass market success.

Re: Information overload; rethinking my RSS feeds

Judie,

Congratulations on your one year anniversary!

Nitin

Re: Off to India…

Desh,

Yes, real estate seems to be the biggest negative at the moment - both from a purchase and rent view. From the purchase side, it seems that the real estate bubble has reached absurd levels in many metros. On the renting side, rents aren't cheap either.

Keep reading, I plan to post often...

Nitin

Re: MindMeister makes connecting to the cloud even easier

Omar -

Your online application looks really good. What is impressive is that you've carefully documented all of them. That has to be appreciated. I doubt that MS will listen, but I am grateful everyday that, at least, I don't have to deal with that god awful Lotus Notes in a work setting.

Nitin

Re: links for 2008-06-14

Jeff,

Thanks for the link.
