Wow, I don't think I would prefer this over the original ramen noodles. And I honestly do not understand how many vending machines there are in one place in Japan. Ipods? Well I have so much to learn, so thank you guys for putting up such a site. Hopefully when I go to Japan next year I won't be that lost with Japanese culture.

I really don't like the though of this either, sounds worse then those 'hip' books that take place over msn chats. But to write that much on a phone, wow. (I want to see said emoticons, I hear about them all the damn time)

I still have to practice my hiragana and katakana quite a bit, but I also am learning some kanji. Thankfully, I got into jdrama so that's where I kind of learn some japanese words, actually jdrama is the reason why I fell in love with the Japanese language. Omg, you totally mentioned Gokusen! (the lure that is Johnnys, very very bad fandom). I've unfortunately fallen into the whole one japanese word thing...I blame my other bad habit that is 'spanglish', but I'll work on it.

Uwaa, but going to Japan is so expensive...or at least the plane tickets are, from there, I don't know how I would survive, maybe you should do an article on some suggestions...or if you have, sorry, but I haven't encountered it yet.

I want to agree with the whole romaji thing, I also think that we end up associating those sounds with english too much, when it's not like that. But the only reason why I'm not all against it is because it gets difficult with the computer, the whole having to change it to japanese letters then back to english...but this is only for the computer, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Usually if they are good, you don't have to skip, a good place to check them out would also be www.mysoju.net, they have korean, japanese and taiwanese ones. Depending on which ones you watch, you might find that the more popular ones seem to be more teenager-ish, not like The O.C. or anything. Thankfully Japanese dramas are usually have 8-12 eps, which is actually not a lot. Okay, done trying to shove this down your throat ^_^

okay, so you said to comment on somewhere else for mixi invite, so here it is, kind of. Although I know you said at least a knowledge of hiragana and katakana (check!) but how will it be if my entries are very basic, things that you learn first semester of japanese, like how to introduce yourself? I learned a more, but you get the gist.

So if you recommend that it's better when I'm more advanced, then no invite. This site sounds very interesting, but there's no point if I can't achieve anything at the moment. thank you!

I didn't know you could do that sort of thing with facebook, but I joined. And myspace is for whores...but I'm willing to dumb myself down and have an account for a couple of friends who refuse other sites.

I'll have to check twitter out...I'm not really sure how it would work. I mean I know you just explained but I obviously need a dictionary for things. (It's just prolly cause I've never even heard of it.)

I think these Otaku's want to have a caring 'mom' presence in their life. Maybe they are nagged at home, about getting married or playing too many video games. What otaku wants that? It's definitely weird, though. But I am not surprised, I find it less creepier than most maid cafes, why? Because they are looking for understanding from mother like figures, not cuteness from a girl suppose to look...an unappropriated age.
