Awesome tips, Craig. Night shots can be a real challenge. Your post comes just in time. I spent a bit of time trying to improve my night photography when we were in Singapore. I'm happy with the shots I took, but now I know what to improve on.

Congratulations on having your first year under your belt, Christine. It feels like I've been reading your updates for much longer. My first year abroad FLEW by. Now I'm coming up on my 7th year in Asia and I honestly don't know where the time went. What I do know is that the roads I have been on have changed, as have I. Diversity has become my middle name. Best wishes for your upcoming travels. I'm looking forward to reading about your second year of roaming the world.

A terrific post! Of course I love a perfect vacation, but I have to admit, there's something really special about a journey that is riddled with inconveniences, delays, and problems. In addition to making great travel copy, it's the journeys that challenge me that end up being most memorable in my books.

Lugang - one of my favorite places in Taiwan. Great shots, Craig! Have you visited Mark lately? We saw him a few months ago, and he introduced us to a master fan artist and a master wood carver. A terrific experience all around!

Terrific images, Craig. John and I visited Tuol Sleng and the Killing Fields two years ago. I was horrified by what I saw there. I keep meaning to share my photos, but just haven't worked up the nerve to do it. Now I can just point people to your site, instead. I'm with Ashish on this one. Great tips, Craig. I like heading out at different times of day to catch light in a different way. In Mexico, I shot several photos from my balcony throughout the day and what a difference!

Awesome photos Craig. I wish I'd known you were going. I was sitting at a friend's house and we were looking for something to do. I suggested checking out Bliss and was outnumbered four to one for Roxy 99. Needless to say, my evening was a disappointment. Next time, I'll have to fly solo.
