America continues to learn that the victims of the Clarence Center aviation disaster were great people.
But one example:
The late “Dawn Monachino of Clarence typically drove 10 hours round-trip to Pennsylvania, every two weeks, to be with her mother, who has Alzheimer’s disease”.

Dawn was a hero. So were her fellow passengers. They died to make our air travel safer. But they should not have been taken from us.
Quiet Rockland extends thoughts, sympathies, and prayers to families and friends of the victims of the horrible airplane crash which occurred near Buffalo, New York in the nearby hamlet of Clarence Center, Continental (Connections) Flight #3407, on Thursday/Friday, February 12/13, 2009. The crash of Flight #3407 was but part of the legacy of harmful malfeasance rendered to us by now-exited failed Acting FAA Administrator Robert Allan (“Bobby”) Sturgell, now-exited failed FAA “Safety Officer” Nicholas Sabatini - and still-in-office FAA COO Hank Krakowski and Acting FAA Administrator Lynne A. (Dobler) Osmus.
The victims of the Flight #3407 crash were kind and decent people, with hopes and dreams. None of them deserved to die at the hands of malicious bureaucrats. We again call upon the President, USDOT Secretary LaHood, and Congress, to immediately remove Lynne Osmus and Hank Krakowski from FAA and from all other government work, permanently. We again call upon the President, USDOT Secretary LaHood, and Congress, to now give FAA the top-to-bottom clean-out of other FAA personnel recommended by Congressman Oberstar last year, before Flight #3407 ever happened. If the clean-out of FAA had happened already, the crash of Flight #3407 may not have happened. Finally, we want a Congressional investigation into the circumstances of the timing of the hasty departure announcement by NTSB Member Steven R. Chealander, which announcement occurred but a week after he commenced work on the February 12 Flight #3407 crash. We want answers. We want justice. We want a new FAA. What's funny about the flamers who posted to this site in reply, particularly "wesley", aside from the fact that their comments are the same ones we have all heard come directly out of the FAA employee play-book for the last year-and-a-half, is that Failed FAA Acting Administrator "Bobby" Sturgell actually IS in REAL-LIFE the son of J. Edgar Hoover's former personal secretary.

Re-read the story. The Bevrly Airpot Commission are just landlords. It is the FAA that controls everything off the ground. You can not ask the Bevrly Police to stop truck traffic at night on 128. It is a Federal Highway. Same thing with the Airport Commission. They do not have police power. They can not tell planes which way to go, when to take off, how to turn, or when they can do touch-and-go's.

OOPS. Second support letter. But WAIT, it is from someone on the South Shore with an axe to grind about Marshfield. If you bothered to mapquest the Beverly Airport, you would see there is no physical room for expansion. Neighborhoods sprung up and were built so close to the runways that you can NOT make them longer. Fight your battles on your home turf, and stop using any story about municipal airports anywhere to bleat about your situation.

Funny, the only "supportive" post is by a guy in New York who knows absolutly nothing about the Beverly Airport (though a quick internet search would have clued him in), who admits his group is unsuccessful, yet wants us to rise up against the jack-booted FAA.
This 'lawyer' has blogged over 100 articles to remove the head of the FAA. i wonder if that puts him in the first poster inconsolable' column, or in the 'crank' column?

My group Quiet Rockland in Rockland County, New York has been fighting the FAA for over a year-and-a-half on similar issues. I used to live in Massachusetts. One of FAA's "strategies" is to enlist its "workers" as fake citizen bloggers to post to message boards like these, and tell you that you're "NIMBY" and that the noise isn't that bad. Well the noise IS that bad - and the real problems include lack of safety and disaster planning, falling aircraft parts, falling blue ice, aerosolized jet fuel, psychological torture like a water drip but worse, and your house and property values going way south and STAYING there. Fight FAA NOW, and shut them down NOW, or they will BEAT you. And as far as I remember from living in Massachusetts, citizens there usually don't like to lose that much. Bobby Sturgell oversaw 3,500+ aviation fatalities on his own FAA "watch" - you don't think he actually cares about you, do you?

Yes... shut down the FAA and there will be none of those pesky rules whatsoever about planes coming and going. Aircraft maintenance and pilot training are for sissys.
