It included a mercury switch that was mounted at an angel leaning toward the front of the car, with the contacts at the top of the bulb out of the mercury. If you braked hard enough the mercury would be forced uphill, touching the contacts and thus deactivating the Cruise Control.

Re: Sputnik at 50

That's a great comment about the rocket versus Sputnik itself.

Re: Hiding on the Internet

I used my real email address several years ago when posting to rec.guns. The need to 1. take the $1 bill out of circulation and, 2. make a $1 coin that really stands out (like the Canadian Looney). If they did that the coin would succeed (once the vending companies stopped complaining) and it would also create demand for the little used $2 bill. I too like the $1 coins which I can only get as change from the post office vending machines but I have to look carefully so I don't use them as quarters.

Re: Shareware Report: Webmail filter

I highly recommend using Sneakemail.com.

Give all those sites their own sneakemail address. I agree. Robertson needs to apologize AGAIN, this time however, without making any excuses.

Re: SBTS, Mohler & Moore: Alcohol &

great post red =). I agree with you - the issue of alcohol should be left up to one's own conscience, and drunk in moderation.

Re: Islamic Calvinists: Flattery through imitation?

that is incredible =)

Re: Dr. Rogers, say hello to Jesus for us.

amen jMark!

Re: Dr. James White vs. John Shelby Spong on homosexuality

i look forward to it!

Re: Desperate Housewives for kids

oh yuck. that disgusts me

Re: The 50 Most Influential Christians?

that top ten is horiffic =/

Re: Revolving door at running back

I honestly think that a healthy Tatum Bell is a star running back in this league, and hopefully for the broncos. Nobody was saying this stuff about him when he was running over the Ravens and the Patriots, and carrying Ray Lewis on his back for 8 yards. When he gets healthy he'll be fine.

As far as the passing game goes, I've stuck behind Jake as along as I can. I have always been a Jake backer because he gets the thing that matters, and thats a W. But I think its time to give Cutler a shot. Our passing game can't get any worse! Oh yea, and maybe he'll get Rod involved more.

Re: Question of the day

Another subpoena...Even the kids in the background look worried.

Re: Question of the day

"Governor signs initiative to do away with corruption in Illinois government; his resignation is now official"

So much for wishful thinking.

Re: Question of the day

The kids: "We've been standing here for ever now. If you think rates are high now, wait until IL government gets in on this. People may have to stop getting their nails done, fast food, and everything else you take as a neccesity.
Grow up, smell the coffee, and live like responsible citizens. Me?
