in Inside the Hall Tourney Pick ‘Em Challenge on Inside the Hall
Kelin, I will just give you some encouragement, I live in upstate NY and my neighbor is a HUGE Giants fan. When I spoke with him before the playoffs he didnt even want to talk about the Giants, he was more concerned with my Colts. So ANYTHING can happen if you have the right people and I think IU does and starting FRESH in the tourney will bleed life into this team. They have 2 All Americans and a good supporting cast, sure were light at the 4 spot but going up against teams that havent seen us on a regular basis will have a HARD time stopping us.............
I have HOPE, without that I wouldnt have anything............

in Pritchard focused on state championship on Inside the Hall
This could be the sleeper of the class, Tom Pritchard is a winner and will do whatever it takes to win and I will take that any day of the week...............
He has been under recruited due to him being a TOP pitcher in baseball, his first exposure to aau ball came last summer after he injured his shoulder. He had to drop baseball and now will be concentrating on bball full time for the 1st time and if his senior campaign is any signal, IU is getting a very very good player...........
He is a crafty lefty, that has good footwork and knack for being around the ball not to mention a nice little baby hook shot and a spot up jumper. I would compare him with 2 players putting TP in between them, Matt Howard at Butler and BE POY Luke Harongody, he may not reach that potential till his soph year. I see IU having a VERY VERY good frontcourt with Elston and Pritchard, that should solidify our frontcourt enough to sprinkle in some BIG TIME players..................
With the right hire, IU will keep the momentum going and a HUGE surprise could be on the horizon if the RIGHT guy is hired..............

This kid has ALL the tools, is as quick as any guard in the open court and he can drain it from deep. Once he gets that wrap off of his arm he is going to explode like he did before he hurt his arm.......
I heard IF IU hires the right coach that EJ might come back, that is solid info too for all the doubters, I dont care who told you what..................

I understand the questioning how hard they played, but calling them names is just over the top. I personally dont think this team will fold, I look for 2 solid wins to go along with IUs first BTT and a DEEP run in the NCAA tourney. I am just glad we dropped this stinker NOW instead of in the TOURNEY when its 1 and done, we are one LATE GAME bankshot from winning the BT..............
PS: I would like some of what that guy is smoking that would take ALL those guys above EJ, he does turn the ball over but makes more than up for it with ALL the other things he does. Get real, he is leading the BT in scoring while being injured MOST of the season, shooting a TON of FTs at HIGH percentage, once again people see what they want to see...............

Knas, I agree we shouldn't name-call. At the same time, I believe the players are sulking, and will continue to sulk. As if not trying hard, and even losing, will somehow teach everyone a lesson. That may be a bit of a reach, but I think that's part of it. I don't know what the solution is.

Did you watch the game yesterday? The reason for most of these posts are from disappointment of this team not just to bad mouth. It's kind of like having a son. Your son gets in trouble in school. You're disappointed with him, and thought he should have known the right thing to do, but you still love him.

Timmy, I like your response all except the liberal comment, has nothing to do with, trust me I stand on the left for obvious reasons, anyone making under 100,000 should too. Common sense would pass the test there but that too is my opinion...............
As for the question, its a jab by a no name reporter stuck covering Gopher bball, but ENLIGHTENED as a great journalist by this somewhat biased blog or whatever you want to call it. I think we all know there is NO NEWS on the NCAA investigation and to entice KS or bait him was childish and busch league at its best, if you guys call this GREAT journalism then once again my point about this site is coming true, thanks for backing my opinion with fact once again.............

I'm right there with you kna. I used to think this site was pretty good, but more and more it seems like every other blog is bringing up something from the past or trying to make some dumb point (the so called easy schedule). If you would try to remember that the people coming to this site are IU fans then maybe it would be more popular. And as for the line "we are just reporting news"....thats a load of shit. This isn't news here and wasn't even news in Minny. Keep trying to stir things up, I won't be reading it....

Its the game before the Holidays against a no name team, hard to get UP for, like coach said, instead of talking about the game before tip off players were talking about their vacation plans. No big shocker hear, came out and took care of business the 2nd half and learned something from the 1st half im sure..............

in Matt Roth is “everything as advertised” on Inside the Hall
David, you obviously know nothing about the game of bball or what it takes to put together a team.......
As for Kuric, yeah he is a better athlete from what I hear, but that isnt what IU was looking for, we needed a shooter that can hit 3s with defenders closing on him. Matt Roth is going to set the ALL TIME record in the state of Illinios and with the makeup of the Hoosiers, him taking passes from a collapsing D will just make his shooting all that more important, they will be closing on him and he has proven time and time again he can HIT THE SHOT.........
I think he is a BIG part to building a program, cant have enough kids that WANT to be Hoosiers and do what it takes to win.........
PS: We will have plenty of athletes at IU now that KS is here, adding the likes of Roth and Pritchard are priceless imho of course........

GOOD KNIGHT, what crisis of leadership, DJ White is playing like an AA and the NEW kids are finding their roles, what are you trying to get at. We are 8-1 with a depleted team, it takes leadership to do that, if we were 4-4 struggling then I might understand some of what you said but sorry but it just doesnt fit, not even close.
GOOD KNIGHT, I didnt know we played Kansas and its not our 2 time National Coach of the Years job to make sure that GOOD KNIGHT knows whats happening. You sound like sour grapes from the west, what more could you want from yesturday, a masterful coaching job, motivated players and discipline being applied to ALL.
PS: When we play Kansas maybe our 2 time National Coach of the Year will e-mail you with the details. I find it funny that when RMK would suspend someone it was OLD SCHOOL discipline and when our 2 time National Coach of the Year does it there is a leadership problem, get over yourself already or as I suspect your a LOOPER Illwhini fan or PU fan. After the game yesturday the thoughts you try to project can come from only someone with some sort of agenda.
PS: Its gonna be great seeing this team in San Antone and hanging No.6. The closer we get the more of the HATERS will come out...........

PS2: What trouble have the players been in T, once again please LINK it to me, I would love to hear about it. I have a subscription to the HT and havent seen anything about ANY IU player getting locked up or causing trouble, so please if you have a LINK I would love to see it...........

in No Gordon, No Bassett, No problem for IU on Inside the Hall
T, I dont think I recall a player being on the front page of the HT about being arrested or doing anything breaking the law, if so please link it for me cause I am missing it. As for following the rules, I guess you want KS to do nothing to the players and run a program like memphis, where Dorsey can do whatever he wants and NOTHING is done, I dont get your logic or lack there of, makes NO SENSE whatsoever. I am old school, I guess when Knight suspended a player it being TOUGH on them and teaching them a lesson, but when KS does it its out of control. You cant have it both ways sorry but doesnt work that way. AJ has skirted by with MD and it caught up to him, obviously JC and AB were late or missed a practice or class but couldnt be suspended at the same time due to lack of depth. Its not KS or IUs staffs obligation to inform you of the inner workings, sure would be nice but its never worked that way and never will. Once again your logic or lack there of is amazing, KS is tightening the screws on this team knowing full well they can be special but have to TIGHTEN them up both on the court and OFF................
PS: Its ok to not like KS but to run an agenda because players dont follow the rules is silly............

in Game Thread: Kentucky @ Indiana on Inside the Hall
BigA, your dislike of KS is getting out of hand, to say that because he suspends a frosh and soph for breaking team rules is his fault is the silliest thing I think I have ever read on this site. Its when he doesnt punish them and they run amuck, not once have we had a player arrested, front page of the HT or anything like that. If you read what Crawfords mother wrote and what KS said its simple, they either missed a class, late for one, or a practice, missed or late. So please lighten up on Kelvin Sampson, I know you dont like him but to push your weight around here isnt very professional to say the least and doing it because lessons need to be taught to these young kids makes them even more out of line. Its coachs' like JC that turn a cheek to players like Dorsey that piss me off, blatant THUG who has pushed the envelope with minimal if ANYTHING done to him, that isnt what is happening here and to compare it to that is ridiculous to say the least.........
Great game today by both the players and the coachs', they are getting better and once healthy this team could be special. Once again look at the message being sent, play by the rules or SIT and we can still win and most important we still PLAY the games. I think KS is tightening the screws on this team, knowing very well that this team can be special but they have to run a tight ship to make sure EVERYONE is working on getting better and doing the right thing.........
PS: If you dont go to class and then you get suspended calls for a coachs' head then there is something very very wrong..........

If it wasnt for the sanctions there wouldnt even be a discussion about this, the LOW numbers that KS was involved in SHOWS he wasnt trying to circumvent the rules of the sanctions.
