Let anyone in the melting pot of the world. I guess its time to stop letting anyone in. Eveyday this country gets the botom of the barrel from around the world why do you think Nashua, Manchester, Concord, ect, ect, are such wonderful places to live. Just walk around downtown at night and tell me I'm wrong. Deportation needs to be enforced in a lot stricter manner. I say one felony and back to the mother land you came from.

in Lull Farm owner arrested, charged with growing pot on Nashua Telegraph
It amazes me that this old wrinkle bag gets released on 2000 cash bail. If it wasn't the owner of a known farm and some kid or adult for that fact lets say living on palm street or central street in nashua for some reason I don't see them being released on 2000 cash bail actually I don't see them being released at all. Lets see what happens to good ole Mr. Orde. I'm guessing he knows someone with a little swing and gets a little slap on the wrist. What a great country where who you know can place you above the law. But god forbid your poor becouse the less money and the less connections you have the less rights and less chance you have for fair punishment.

Vi What's with your personal attack? Why not direct your obvious anger right back at the area that your squaking about? There are nasty roaming bands of tweenagers that need to be dealt with, illegals that continually commit crimes, get caught, deported & then come right back again, & crimes that no one is dealing with because people are afraid to speak up. You take care of that first before you start pointing fingers. You know nothing about the situation and haven't even considered the fact that the story is slanted and doesn't contain all the facts.
youthful Hey wait a minute I'm 53 yo and I'm no wrinkle bag!

in Fourth of July standoff ends with suicide on Nashua Telegraph
sure nice job remedial p.d.. Lets dress up up and play cowboy to a lost soul who needs help, not tella tubby tough guys. I'm sorry but npd are a bunch of idiots. Are crime rates are astronomical gang violence is at an all time high. and not mention crack and heroin are flooding are streets like katrina flooded new orleans. To all the folks that think are pd has half a brain take a walk down central or whitney street around 10:00pm and when your beaten for your wallet or purse without one of these great cops around tell me how great they are. Stop parking in empty lots hanging out for hours and do some real police work that is what we pay you for right. One last thing why aren't they cleaning up the bad parts of town is it too much work. I guess you cant ask a cop to do his job any more it will lead to positive changes and they might lose some budget if the city is a little safer.

SERIOUSLY The only thing that is unbelievable is you! Are you for real? Talk about exaggerating just a bit. . . "astronomical gang violence, drugs are flooding the streets like Hurricane Katrina. You are in Nashua, NH. . .time for a reality check.
No the police can't be everywhere at once, but I am ceratin that if you were the victim of a violent crime, the police would be the ones responding (putting their lives on the line) to save your "unbelievable lost soul".
As for your last comment, it doesn't even make enough sense to solicit a response.
Get a clue before you start running your mouth!
safe in my neighborhood i would just like to say that i live on central street and while there might but some incidents on my street the npd is always on this street.. not only do they patrol it they also get to know those of us who live here, they meet the children ,talk to them ,even race bikes with them so maybe you should get your facts straight they are doing a good job with this area and as for it not being safe at 10 pm when is the last time you walked down this street it is very quiet for the most part.....oh and by the way what are you doing in nashua to make it a better place...stop talking trash and step up or move

in Nashua Telegraph Blogs on Off Track

It's not the younger crownds that I find to be a problem. It's the 21 year olds and up that fail to relize what a job and responsibility is. they go to these parks to feel cool in front of teenagers deal drugs and statutorally rape the un knowing tween girls that go. Its just disgusting to see grown men and I use the term loooooosly hang around with these young kids and influence them to go down the looser road they've gone down them selves. Reply all you want I've seen it all first hand. I my-self am 25 and stoped doing those things at about 15. Its just remedial adults acting like they're still in high school they should make an age limit maybe that would help.

in Teen held on robbery charge on Nashua Telegraph
To the person who says It isn't always the parents fault you must be a horrible parent yourself. If you lack in parenting skills wrap it up or throw it down the hatch you dont need to be procreating. And not to sound racist but I have a strange feeling the kid just might have been of spanish decent. Clean up the tree streets. Post cops on the path that runs along west hollis that seems to be where the majority of these oh so classy juvinile re-jects seem to hold there gatherings. I'm so sick of this . Terrible crack smoking parents raising these great future leaders that carry machetes and speak so eloqently. Its disturbing that these people keep having children in the first place I wish god made the dispicable gene that kept these kinds of people from having kids. But hey the more kids you pop out the more welfare money you'll recieve right. So keep sucking up our tax dollars by laying on your backs for a living and producing these great examples of modern day inner city youth.

For what it is worth It was a racist comment, but in his defense, the spanish gang's weapon of choice is the machete, or the mini baseball bat. So if you see your kids with a minibat, you can be pretty sure he is banging. If they go to headlines, that is where they get the machetes. Why they don't have to be registered to be purchased after all the machete attacks is beyond me. You would think they would have to fill a form, and show id. Then at least the cops get a list.
special ed mom EXCUSE ME actually i am white TOTALLY and so are my children and i am aso married so there goes your next accusation. and oh one more thing my entire family were all law in enforcement and i don't live in the tree streets. I have tried to raise my childrn to have respect and for the most parts they do but you know what these days kids are not what they used to be. So next time you would le to jump to conclusions you may want to just think again or better yet think at all

Are you kidding me. Get over it people. Hello free speech. Leave this guy alone, your pathetic to sit hear a bash this guy for using these words to compare to. Are you 85 yers old and still stuck in the times when you were 12. This is a new time in life where up tight people such as yourselves have no real place anymore. Give him a break its not like he's a terrorist spreading a jihad on you or your loved ones. Christ grow up or should I say relax your belt its a couple notches to tight.

For what it is worth ah, yes, she is. Haven't you met her? To meet her, is to be judged by her. Pffft. Who cares what she thinks? Other 70 year olds.
SongbirdinNH Yes, free speech: Ms. Hippauf has every bit as much of a "real place" here as you do.

The most telling aspect of this whole exchange is the smallness of mind posters here are branding themselves with in their glaring prejudice against perceived age, and against any sort of solid old-fashioned standards allegedly associated therewith.

Here's something else you of stunted mind need to learn: In the cosmic Scales of Justice, sins of degeneracy (the soft or "female" sins) weigh every bit as much as sins of overt violence (the hard or "male" sins)! That's clearly beyond you at this point, but I will nonetheless do you the honor of inviting you to think about it . . . because it's true whether you want it to be or not.

in Milford forum says awareness key on Nashua Telegraph
to all the people out there trying to make a difference I commend you. It's hard to take a kid with no core values no strong morals and no strong family connection and keep them away from the ruthless scum that is known as gang recruters. I am moving to milford in august and I for one am going to do everything in my power to help alieviate the problem. I for one believe that a strong community is the main key to gettting down to the problem. It starts with the parents of these lost children not being involved in there life enough, and then it gets to making examples of these "recruters or leaders" of these gangs. It starts with them finding lost children and showing them a feelling of being an important part of something, a brain washed movement of some sort. We need to protect are children care for them nurture them and be there for them and thats the real start of things. So to al you parents out there that think just sending your kids away to play all day instead of spending quality time with them shame on you it starts with you make a difference. And if your child is promoting gang activity acting as though he or she is a part of it and you don't step in to do something about it , your just as bad as the gang itself. So I say and leave you all with this. Take a good look at your son or daughter , talk to them, believe in them, and push to make them the best posible individual that they can possibly be. It starts with you the parents. My son is three years old and I'd be damned to let him slide into such a loser role as being a gang member I would look at myself as being a failed poor excuse of a parent.

in Forum targets gang activity on Nashua Telegraph
I'm going to be moving to milford in august this year and if any of these so called "gang members" disturb me or my family they better duck. I grew up in the tree streets in nashua and if they think for one minute that I'll tolerate that crap that they think they're doing is OK I'll gather up my freinds and "HELP" the police deal with the matter in the only way that gets through to these retards. Brute force.
Brit Please do what you want to protect your family but don't call them retards. Retarded people do not deserve this insult. They are neither violent or trouble makers, they have a disability and are just as, if not more vunerable, to this gang related activity as you and your family are.

in Soldier acquitted in Iraqi's death on Nashua Telegraph
Just another case of sick soldiers murdering innocents in Iraq. And thats why I didn't re-enlist. It just disgusts me that we're over there in the first place but the media has trouble telling the truth about american soldiers raping ravaging and obviously killing innocent Iraqies. Some day this might happen here and just imagine someone running in your house guns blazing raping your children bombing your neiborhood than going back to there country to be praised by there community. Absolutely disgusting. And don't go thinking I'm anti american I'm just anti hate. Thats why I was a combat medic. To save lives not destroy them becouse some un-educated weak hick became our great leader.

ProgressiveWarrior Paul,

Thank you for your service over there. How long were you in Iraq? I think it'd be enlightening for you to share some of what you experienced over there.

Have you seen any of the "Winter Soldiers" testimony from other Iraq vets? Here are a few links:

in CIA claims Iran has policy to help kill Americans in Iraq on Nashua Telegraph
here we go again. More bush led scare tactics to get the people of this great nation to fight yet another losing war for him, while he sits in his puss bag chair and watches the death toll keep rising. If we thought a lot of soilders died in Iraq you can triple or even quadrouple the amout that would occour in Iran. Someone needs to take that piece of s#!t so called prez and drop his retarted ass in a hot zone over there. Or better y2et drop him in the moge and see how he fends for himself. I just love how this country just let him win against gore and kerry. do we relize we run this country not him. Get involved vote for Obama He's the only one that will stop all this fighting. Monica Clinton will OBLITERATE iran and Mcbush will stay in Iraq for as long as he lives given thats not as long as his term would be but still. Come on people think this time before you cast your ballot and stop leeting race make you second guess. Billary won this state becouse she played all the weak folks with the crocadile tears now there saying she has brass b@lls. She can't even figure out who she is as a person. Oh wait she has she's just a manipulator and it worked on all of you folks shame on you for making are state look so foolish.

in Legalizing marijuana would be big mistake on Nashua Telegraph
I hope that when you wrote this little tid bit that you weren't or for that fact never thinking of taking a drink. Check the research done on this wonder "drug" before you open that ignorant mouth of yours. Pots benefits far out way the cons. I've been smoking for about 15 years and I'm proud to say that I don't drink. I would choose something I can do in moderation and while doing that not lose my inhabitions, my respect for other people, my ability to walk a straight line, my ability to hold a conversation with out drooling on myself. so I leave you with this. Before you knock it do the research.

AlexF Hello Paul.

I keep hearing about the supposed benefits, but when it comes to discussions like these, the typical "pro" bullet points are "well, alcohol and tobacco are legal so this should be too!" That's not a compelling argument.

I do agree that what a person does in their own home is their own business. But this issue goes outside the home. The bill that the legislature is considering does not legalize anything, it decreases the penalty. You'd still have to buy from drug dealers, and the money will still likely fund who knows what, including gangs and guns. Every time an innocent person is gunned down in the street, I stop and wonder if these illegal pot sales are a contributing factor. Where do you think the gangs and dealers get their money?

There is great potential harm in legalization or de-criminalization. I have yet to see a calm, clear, compelling argument in favor of it. The fact that people use it now is not compelling. It doesn't express a benefit to society.

The only tangible benefit I've read is for medicinal use. And I think that is tenuous at best. Look at what happened in CA. Some doctors chose to write prescriptions to anyone and everyone for anything. It just encouraged more law breaking. And for what? So people could get high. I still fail to see why that's something we want to promote.

I've read plenty about the subject, and I read a lot of these editorials, even though they tend to follow the same standard points. I'm not "uneducated". I have seen the effect of drug use on people I know. I don't think this movement is a good thing. I don't think the pro-legalization folks are making a good argument.

in Legalizing marijuana would be big mistake on Nashua Telegraph
It makes me sick that alcohol remains legal but smoking a joint isnt. You pompus old un-relatable folks need to realize that the reprocussions from pot are far less than that of alcohol. When's the last time you heard of someone going home and beating his wife after smoking pot. Please give me a break. We're so influenced by politicians and old time america saying how pot is a "gate way" drug that everyones scared of it. Pot is by far the least of or worries not to mention the economical benifits are great state would reap from taxing such a recreational thing. You folks need to realize that you need to put down the double shot of whatever you have and pick up a joint and relax. Up tight america needs to see the gold mine that pot really is and stop bickering over what to do with it.
