in 12 SolidWorks Features You Don’t Need—And How to Turn Them Off on SolidSmack
Great post as always.
#8 - Status bar. I use this as a quick replacement for Tools, Measure. It tells me exactly what I need to know 90% of the time: Length, Distance to Centers, Offsets, etc. I love it.

Good point Adam, it's useful for that, but I sure wish it was up on the screen when you selected something. They've got the context menu popping up now. I don't think I would mind an option to display data about the selection on the screen. Needs to be an option though. Thanks!

The icon: It *used* to be the same icon as standard sketch mirror. (maybe pre 2006) The difference was pre-select/post-select.
I agree with Jeff S. I prefer to get half of the shape correct before doubling my geometry. But for simple, marketing type sketches, it rocks.

in SolidWorks 2009 - My Take on Jeff's Tool Shed
Jeff,
Why don't you have it yet? FCS has been out for a month and Beta goes back five months. All the while, we are singing the praises of what 2008 should have been. Welcome to the club.
