Better to have bus shelters smelling like cookies than homeless people.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised to drive by a bus shelter and see a dwelling-challenged person licking the poster hoping for a sweet taste of chocolate chip or maybe oatmeal raisin.

Your color scheme looks like it is a Martha Stewart blog or something.

Not saying it's bad...just saying is all.

And no I don't have any suggestions, other I figured you would have gone a little funkier maybe.

Some black, maybe turqoise or magenta...maybe a touch of superman or midnight blue...

Otherwise great start.

Funny...the power went out today across the GTA. A power station in Etobicoke had a fire and the power went out this morning at around 6:30 am.

It was eerie too...I was driving on North Shore Boulevard in Hamilton (just about under the Skyway Bridge, and all the street lights went out. I was alone on the road, not a light in sight, and I look left (south) towards Hamilton's "bustling" steel companies and see NO lights...it was very spooky. And just as quick, the lights were all back on. Heck, even the radio station I was listening to went off the air (static) for the 30 seconds.

I'm a 24 junkie, so the deepest recesses of my mind was going a little crazy there...

Wow, Derek is a Class "A" D***. You should e-mail him back and ask him for his manager's e-mail address. He absolutely talked down to you in his response, and he is lucky it wasn't a face to face confrontation.

Arg...I have nothing more to add. This whole thing just makes me so mad.

My company jumps through hoops to make our customers happy, time and time again, because it is just smart business.

Hell, even if the customer is wrong, it's just stupid to go out of your way to be rude or dissatisfy a customer even further.

I don't understand how the concept of treating customers with respect seems like rocket science to some people.

It's common sense. If you do not treat your customers with respect, they won't keep giving you their money, and you won't have a job. How hard is that to follow?

How about us poor saps who don't live 1 minute from our jobs, but live for 3-4 hours a day in our cars?

There is ALWAYS something that needs to be done.

Just a short list (close to) but not actually, in order...

baby time
wife time
parents/sibling time
in-laws time
getting ready for work
work time
dinner time and/or making dinner time
cleaning time
mowing or shoveling time
sports time
personal time
oh, and sleep time...not enough.

and when the kids get older, their extra curricular stuff

and on and on...

I say if they can expand a case of beer from 24 to 28, then they should add 4 hours to the day.

Then Jack Bauer will have more time left to save the world too.
