i am sure you will grow to love NYC... there are tons of malaysian in NYC. i was told that back in the 1970's, 40% of the chinese in chinatown are malaysians. anyway, stay warm and cozy, winter is around the corner.

columbia it is! cool.. i am sure you will have a great 4 yr education there. and you made it! i am sure it is a tough nut to crack on the application... but it is doable....
all applications into ivies takes some work because they use them as a tool to screen and deter those half ass students...
i am not sure how much columbia's mba cost, but whartons was about 100k 7yrs ago. and a 250k loan should covered 2yrs being in school full time then. its a good investment.. so be prepared to bleed like crazy in the begining, but you reap the benefits later down the road.

go get yourself some peper spray, that would keep you safe... as for the stalker.. did you do anything unusual to look like a visitor? they usually prey on visitors. but next time, make sure you walk with some friends..

wait a minute! are you in NYU or Columbia?
anyway, i am sure you will get used to life in NYC. it is not that bad... its pretty easy to get around if you know the subway. but! do ask for a brochure at the counter and understand how the subway works.
if you need more help! can always contact me.. or i can have some friends in NY or NYU help you out....
hmm.. banana leaf is pretty yummy in philly and it is just a block from my buddies place who works for the philly fed reserve. well, hope you have a fun time in NYC, and remember to get some warm clothing! its going to freeze soon... my advice is to get a really good ski jacket from north face, burton, spyder or columbia... trust me!! you will be using it for the next 4 yrs you are here.
