And it wasn't for using a script. Here's the actual e-mail: http://socialnewscentral.ning.com/profiles/blog...

Re: Did DIGG Entrap Abusers with a Honeypot?

Here's the problem. I get e-mails all the time from companies that want me to submit content to digg. $500 a story and even higher.

I never take the bait and I usuallly report the company to digg abuse.

In addition, if I see a story submitted to Digg by another user that I know was part of a Digg for profit scheme, I either contact that user and let them no that we police our own or contact Digg abuse.

You broke the rules and got caught. If you send Digg abuse a nice little letter and ask them to check out your submissions & stories dugg history (hopefully it's good stuff). Then they might re-instate your account.

Just my thoughts

Re: How to Become a Digg Top User (without doing anything shady)

The biggest hint I can give is friends. Digg your friend's stories is great, but check your friends list for activity. Are accounts dead, inactive or do they just Digg stuff you're not into. So kill them from your friends list and get new ones that you like and see over time if they like your content. I'll never post this on Digg as a tip, but if you guys see it here, then enjoy. I have lots of friends from the early days of Digg like: aaaz, but they're gone now so instead of having 1000+ friends I try and float at around 400 (active Diggers).
