Where would you put the newspaper site that is online and has comments enabled? I think that over time that line in the middle is going to go away, and eventually the "new media" will just be media.

I recently printed out GMail's keyboard shortcuts to help me better wade through my email. It has helped tremendously.

The company where I work processes payroll for other clients. Several hundreds of thousands of dollars a day. The amount of time that the payroll from our clients stays in our accounts before it is disbursed into paychecks is very short: 2 to 3 days max.

That the company handles several hundred thousand dollars' worth of payroll may be one reason we have multiple accounts.

This is interesting. I wonder how much of an API hit this takes. I bet you probably run this at night when you're not going to be using Twitter that much anyway.

I don't know enough about PHP and BBEdit yet to be able to implement this on Windows.

My initial reaction when finding someone has followed me is to wait for them to initiate a conversation.

Other than that, I'm trying to connect with as many people locally as possible, so I'm using tools like Tweetscan and TwitterLocal to find mentions of and people in the Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio areas. I subscribe to RSS feeds mentioning my blog properties and Twitter usernames.

I keep Twhirl open during the day and dip in and out throughout the day. Like you, I religiously check the replies tab to make sure I've not missed anything.

I have also from time to time searched out updates of people talking about things related to my work as a programmer and have followed people talking about things I'm interested in from that perspective.

That's my current style, and it seems to be working for me right now.

Right on, Chris. I'm not into the Sobe, Snapple, and other enhanced "water" products, mainly because of the amount of calories and that they aren't really water.
