Dump the current Carling Cup format for something like this postseason playoff plan.

You still give Full Honors to the Season Champion as current, runner-up gets direct pass into CL. The Champ and Runners up are less motivated, however, it will be a seperate piece of hardware to vie for, the Champ wanting to prove it again, the others wanting the chance to knock them off and hoist a trophy . . .

Current Carling Cup set-up couldn't be less intersting, as most big clubs send their youth out and a loss is not a huge fan dis-appointment. If this were in place this year, do you think that the 2nd place (ManU or Chelsea) wouldn't love the opportunity for revenge? Remeber, they won't be meeting in the CL final every year.

I've always liked the simplicity of Umbro's designs. Their logo itself is fairly unobtrusive, and recognisable. The Le Coq Sportif kits are the worst from a manufacturers logo perspective, followed closely by Canterbury. As a Chelsea Fan, my alltime favorite Chelsea uniform was the last Umbro kit. nice gold accents and NO god-awful three stripes everywhere . . .

I like it. It's a bold move, and as for comment #1 from hmmmmm, I don't see a drawback to hiring a Brazilian coach with 2 Copa Libertadores with 2 different clubs, in addition to a World Cup.

Loved the "electric yellow". Saw one last year in the Adidas Shop on the Las Vegas Strip, and I can tell you I would never wear one, but watching them on TV - they were awesome. Never a doubt about whose Yellow Away kit was on the screen.

The black = meh

I'd prefer the badge remain in accurate colors. That was my biggest complaint in the Yellows last year. A little splash of blue on the crest isn't going to confuse anyone.

Fantastic if Umbro has removed the silly double diamond pattern on the shoulders . . .

Also, intersted to see if the centered logo is something we'll continue to see. It looks great with the centered crest, but wouldn't look good with a crest over the left side.

have had both Dish and Directv at different times for 4-5 years now.

In AZ we get short, but INTENSE rain bursts in summer, and I've only had 3-4 occasions of severe pixelization, and one 5 min. outage during that time. Typically, the picture clears up while it's still raining, just not so hard.

Could the set-up of a public location be part of the issue? or do homeowners get the same ratios of problems?

Does anyone know the details of the Promotion/Relegation system in Argentina? I know they do not promote/relegate every single year, but use a formula based on aggreagate results and averages, etc. If I remember, there was a commotion a couple years ago when River Plate (#1 or #2 team in Argentina) was in a Relegation battle due to a couple years run of poor results . . .

I fear that anything involvning Setanta will become cost prohibitive. I have DirecTV, and Setanta is $15/month for 1 channel! Fox Soccer is packaged with a "Sports Bundle" that costs $12 a month and includes NBATV, CBS College channnel, ESPNU, and EVERY regional sports channel in America (except most live programming).

I had Setanta, and am torn, because I prefer FSC's EPL coverage and shows, but am also a casual fan of Rugby and Aussie Rules. If ESPN and Setanta are going to join forces, the cost's will have to come down, but I would love to see an ESPN Football only channel - "All Codes - All the time". Soccer, Rugby, Aussie Rules, Canadian, Gaelic, there's plenty of football out there to fill a broadcast day . . .
