Facebook should adopt a digg style rating system for applications.

Alternatively they should develop an algorithm which "scores" applications based not on the number of users but the usage of the application and the time between installing it and removing it.

Finally they should introduce an accreditation system whereby developers could submit their application for consideration as a "Facebook Gold App" (or something similar)

My approach is to always use Google Calendar as the "input" and then subscribe to it from iCal on my various Macs (which then syncs it with my iPhone). Even on my iPhone Google's mobile optimised Calendar page is fine for simple input.

Yes I lose the ability to enter data into my diary on the very few occasions when non of my divices such as Laptop, or iPhone have no connection.

However I'm saved Sync Conflict Hell!

Jason is spot on. I run a small emerging technology company in the UK and its no environment for those who cant cope with an "all hands on deck" mentality and 3am Caffine fueled working.

As for smokers, just don't hire them in the first place! They clearly have a death wish, they do take more breaks and it looks really bad when customers turn up and you see nicotine junkies loitering outside the office doors.

And what happens in 5 years time when Fred realises he is not going to be the next Jim Carey and turns up at Goldmans/PWC/etc looking for a "normal" job. Does this help or hinder his employment prospects!?
