Entrecard brings about 15% of my traffic per day. Granted my traffic's low, but it's a huge number especially compared to Blogrush. I had to remove Blogrush from my blog after giving it a good try for a few months. Isn't worth it if you ask me.

Meh. Good linkbait but you've probably upset more folks than anything. Although there's at least 10-12 articles on the top of Google when you search for John Cow Hacked.

Wouldn't you worry about your blog losing some of its uniqueness as a result of this?

If he can't manage it, that's really his only option. I can see how some of the initial buyers of a MEW page may be upset though.

Good luck with the sale. Personally, I think the spirit of MEW is broken if indeed it is being sold. If I were to have bought a page, part of it would have been because of person (or people) running it. The buzz from the owner would have made the page worthwhile.

If you're going to communicate on the internet, you need thick skin. That's just how the internet works. And don't bother arguing on the internet. You're better off watching grass grow.

Score.org has some helpful tips and free advisors if you're interested in starting your own business. But I agree with the above. Don't quit your day job unless you have enough of an emergency fund to sustain yourself for a year or more. More small business, if they don't fail within the first three to five years, usually don't become profitable during those first couple of years.

So you're saying John's behind the Save the Greenbacks foundation? :-D

It's not a bad looking site, but the ads really take away from the content. The first thing I noticed were the 10 really big buttons on the right side, the sponsored buttons. Granted, it will bring him more money but it really appears to detract from his comment. 30+ advertisements is a bit extreme in my opinion. It's almost as if he's sold out and cares more about topping last month's revenues than blogging. But I'm a newbie. What do I know.
