No matter how you feel about animal control, we should all realize that they are not the only problem. Irresponsible pet owners are a major source of problems for Long Beach (and everywhere else). Do you have any stories about the disastrous deeds of vile pet owners? If so, post them or email them to me at nicole@thedistrictweekly.com.

There are so many good comments on here, and I can tell that a lot of you really care about the animals, but if you work for Animal Control (or SPCA for that matter), the best way you can help is to talk to me (nicole@thedistrictweekly.com). It will make my upcoming articles so much better. Anonymity is totally fine, but I would really appreciate the help.

This is a really great article. I'm so glad that these women had somewhere to go, and I wish so much that there were more places like that.
