I understand what you are saying, but I would say it comes down more to time management and truly understanding the tools that can be used for Twitter. Used correctly, Twitter is a powerful tool for online and offline businesses. With the different tools that are available now, you don't have to spend a lot of time on Twitter at all. With Twitter you can connect with like-minded people that you would have never connected with any other way, you can get JV partners, find out about events and some pretty cool marketing strategies.

If you don't know how to use Twitter though, it will be a waste of time.
