in iPhone jailbreak/unlock for all versions - instructions within! on BabyGotMac
The link to the file posted here is for a newer version of this hack which might get your iPhone stuck with just the apple logo on screen.
If that happens, then with the phone connected to the dock just hold the power and home button for about 10 seconds until the screen turns off, then let go of the power button ONLY and keep holding onto the home button.
Itunes will give you the option to recover your phone back to default state.
After you've done that, if your an AT&T user, you can have Itunes unlock your phone again with the backup stored on Itunes.
I then recommend downloading
v.1.0 of ZiPhone here

This version has you put your phone into recovery mode manually, like the instructions above. Doesn't have any of the lock-up errors like version 1.1

in Another reason I want to smash my iPhone on BabyGotMac
It was really amusing how people got excited when Steve jobs showed you could now text multiple people with the iphone, something you could do with other phones for a long time.
First time I got the iphone and I decided to text message all my contacts my new phone number, I was really confused as to where the feature was in the first place.
It seems like Apple was so focused on throwing in features other phones didn't have, they forgot to put in a few features that phones have had for years.
At the very least, most can be remedied via firmware updates.

in 10.5.2 finally released - dozens rejoice on BabyGotMac
Hey Phil,
What flash websites didn't work for you?
Went to test what you said by immediately going to youtube and that worked fine.
Couple other websites worked fine too.

in Apple customer service - three times a lady on BabyGotMac
That's GREAT!
I had a stuck pixel on my imac and the Apple store was great about giving me a brand new replacement.
I had some trouble using bootcamp at first too, I was happy to find out their over-the-phone support wasn't out-sourced to India and the product specialist actually thought out solutions himself and worked through it like a real tech guy(didn't just read off some paper with some steps like most companies). They were able to help me solve the problem over-the-phone in the end, which was great.
My only complaint, at least at my local Apple Store, would be that some of the Mac Specialist seem to like to "confidently" spout information which is actually wrong. My primary experience with this being when I was asking questions about the Apple Tv.
They told me you couldn't stream content from a computer, only copy it to the Apple Tv Harddrive.
Found out later, this was completely wrong.
Seems to really only be a problem with the Teens working there though, so oh well..

in Macbook Air: Perpetuating the myth on BabyGotMac
I agree that the Macbook Air is a bit much for what your getting for right now.
Trying to think about why Apple priced this the way they did though, I think they did it because they didn't want to alienate their other notebooks, having everybody just buy the Air and ignore the Macbook and Macbook Pro. I also believe that at the current price point, not a whole lot of people will be buying the air and therefore Apple will have time to ramp up production on the product.
Honestly. I'd have to say though, one of the biggest factors Apple probably looked at when pricing the notebook is looking at competition, namely Sony's TZ series notebooks, of which are slightly more expensive than the MB Air. If all you wanted was a featured notebook that was 3lbs and you looked at Sony's TZ and Apples Air, then it would all just come down to which compromises you wanted to make for that 3lbs.
