Yes, this is very good enhancemnt. 2,5 years ago I worked in SolidWorks Routing module. I've been thinking about sorting the feature manager (fitings) by the medium flow. So I thing that sort by medium flow (like in PDMS) is also needed.

Now I see that I can do the Revolve from one line :)

Yes It is good set up all templates as you described. But in team there is lot of problems.
Bigest I think is -
1. You did set up network folder. Good. But how do you set the appropriate name of designer on the drawing, when you have part template and drawing template on the network? From which place will be pull down the name? From properties and from drawing stamp not because these are on network.

We do that, by copiing the templates to every user. The user will after set himselve name for example Josh Mings. And there is the problem, when you want change the template (add new notes etc.), you must do that by the every user.

2. How you do drawings? By the selecting default drawing document originaly "Drawing.drwdot" and dialog box with sheet formats appear?

I think that better and quicker way is set more drawing documents with different sheet formats (A4.drwdot, A3.drwdot etc.). But there is also problem. When you want change for example stamp, you must do that by the avery drawing document.

Now I am creating new templates for our company and this questions I am trying to resolve.

How do you solve these problems in your company?

WOW, Yes you are right. I tryed now. Is new for me. Because I tought that I must! give the pre or postfix. Now I see that I can type any name of file what I want.

Yes I am using that for dimple grooves. I have also in library feature part several configurations with various predefined sizes...after insert I choose proper config in dialog box.
I would like use that more offen and do more shapes of features, but you know that, 100x repeat same operation when you do that!!!:)

And what about mirrored parts in assembly? If you want mirror in assy (in SolidWorks) you must write any pre or postfix to filename. This pre or post will affect your filname management.
I am do it very offen and giving the filename postfix -M for example "filename-M.sldprt".

How do you mirror parts and which name you give them?

The tru disaster will come, when you are doing drawing for mirrored part. But this is differently discussion.

For me, the measure tool is absolutly bad dream. The simple example is on this link - http://svobodne.net/temp/two_planes_circles.jpg

There are circle on the front plane and other circle on the right plane. The areas of circles are intersect. I notify that centers of circles arn´t on verticaly line.
If you take min to min or max to max it has same effect. And what is very wrong, that the measure tool is not able to measure their points of quadrant...

I would like ask about measuring in SWX 2008. Are there any new enhancements?
Couse measuring in actual versions is very very !! poor.
