in How have you changed? on Carrie and Danielle
I'm more in touch with the physical. It's happening slowly, but I am steadily trying to build on awareness inside my body, not just my head.

in What are you excited about right now? on Carrie and Danielle
I've been going to the gym - doing ten minutes each on three machines (the bike, the rowing machine, and the treadmill), and then stretching and (my favourite) Shavasana for a few minutes. I feel genuinely blissful afterwards, which was a total shock. I've been going almost every day.
It is genuinely exciting.

Building a sense of community. Exercising for the first time in years. The view out my window. Water. Writing.

in What’s your favorite easy thing to cook? on Carrie and Danielle
Aglio e olio. Any kind of pasta. Yum. It is bliss.
With romano cheese, even though that's apparently not very Italian of me.

in When do you hide? on Carrie and Danielle
When I know I need to connect to the quiet part of myself. Really, though, what I'm working on is not hiding. Coming out when I know I need to connect to others, finding someone to talk to, going outside to see who I come across. Not hiding within a group when I feel disconnected (by that I mean not tuning out).

in What’s sacred to you? on Carrie and Danielle
Thanks Joannie,
I've been living in a new city for all of three days, not knowing anyone, moping around, telling people I was sick of my own company, when I realized: that's what I've got. I'm going to be there, wherever I am, and I better get used to it, and start enjoying myself. Enjoying my self. And being aware of me and centering, even though I feel a little off my axis.

in What’s the best relationship advice you’ve ever given or received? on Carrie and Danielle
I read this on a blog somewhere recently, of course I can't remember where.
Never be with a man you wouldn't be totally proud to have raised if he were your son.
Obviously you can insert the words woman and daughter into the sentence, if that better suits your needs. This piece of advice totally resonated with me, I think it's a great checkpoint.

I want to feel the way I do when I'm floating in a large, salty body of water. Totally relaxed and totally supported. Supple.

in In terms of celebrities, whose fashion sense do you admire? on Carrie and Danielle
Drew Barrymore and Mandy Moore. Mostly because I think I would like both of them as people.
Meryl Streep.
Oh! Sophia Coppola. Her style is so simple but so perfect. Yeah, her. I'll just hang out with the other ones.
