in Nuanced Economics Tops the Video Charts on TubeMogul Blog
get rid of the americanisms! it's all a facade and culty religion. people who self-dumb themselves cooperating in hyper allegiance under the guides in subliminal messages inside entertainment and sports, cop shows, law shows. republican, democrat. good vs bad. us vs them. a divide and conquer apparatus. people believe they think for themselves, but are really swayed by the popular thought of the crowd with the most noise, who appears to be the winning side to them.

in Anyone Listening to Peter Schiff Now? | Short Sale Solutions on ShortSaleBlogger
just imagine all the people who were swayed and bandwagoned that Schiff was somehow a "kook". the problem with people in the world is that they bullhead off-the-cuff thoughts as if they're beyond self analysis. I've been wondering many years why everyone pretends there's happiness and as if addressing "bad times" makes you a negative person. Peter only called out the problems spots that needed fixing, but everyone called him a clown. Isn't this an offshoot of the "emperor's new clothes"?

in Chuck Norris Tries To Sue His Way Into Our Hearts on How To Split An Atom
chuck doesn't the owe internet anything? what? the internet is a communication vehicle. people with similar topics and tastes and interests can find each other. the internet doesn't make something relevent it's the activity of inquiry that humans do that make relevance. I like bruce lee. me alone stating this has made bruce lee relevant, even if this was a thought that did not make it to my fingertips to the keyboard.

sbspalding I am speaking about relevance in the sense that celebrities accept it. That is, "being talked about," being famous.

Fame requires that you are topical. That's what separates fame from skill or talent. Paris Hilton, for example, is quite famous even though I would say someone like Susan Surandon is much more talented.

Chuck Norris stopped being talked about years ago. He was no longer topical, no longer "relevant."

This Internet meme made people remember him again, and suddenly he became much more topical -- more "relevant." He owes the Internet (in a general sense) for providing the distribution channel that spread this meme.

More than that, however, he owes his fans a little patience considering this entire thing was just supposed to be a joke, not an attack on Chuck Norris' character.
