So very true. I'm amazed by the lack of anything redeeming in the dreck that's on the radio these days. I can drive for miles, hitting SCAN on my radio, usually settling on an 80s soft rock station.

New rock rots. New pop is horribly written. I don't like country. It's no wonder that I keep going back to my 90s rock and old school rap roots.

We saw the movie and we loved it. We also make the bad language disclaimer. :)

The movie was inspiring to me as a musician and aspiring writer. It also romanticized the simple and appreciative lifestyle of not hoarding wealth and possessions. We want that and, by God's grace, are getting there!

Not much to add here. The Spirit will teach from this and obviously he already has.

I just want to praise God for Matt and Jefferson.

eBay can be sketchy, but I've seemed to have had good luck with pedals. I just look for good feedback and pedals which are known to be durable. I don't think I would buy anything rackmount from there, but sturdy pedals I feel better about.

I'm sure you didn't waste your money. I haven't heard the Distortion III before, but MXR seems to just put out good, solid pedals.

We could probably come up with a huge list of different brands and pedals, but I think if you really like the sound, then go with it. So much of your tone is just a personal preference. You played with a bunch of pedals, so this is certainly an educated decision.

For me, eBay is always a good recourse if you end up wanting to change later. I'm OK with buying something and selling it later for $15-20 less. I just see the loss as the cost of getting to use that pedal for the time I had it.
