in Want a Free iPhone From #Squarespace? Read the #FinePrint on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
I knew what the prize was when I twittered about it this morning. I had no problems with it either. I already have a 3G iPhone, but I would *love* to have a $199 gift certificate. So if they pick me to win, sweet!

I don't think they are being deceptive at all, and I think it is great that they have set it up this way so that people that already have iPhones - or don't want an iPhone - still have an option to participate!

in Foursquare is the Breakout Mobile App at SXSW on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
How is it that FourSquare and Contxts both use the 50500 number as the number to send texts to for their services?

micah Multiple apps can use the same short code (its a common practice to have a shared short code). Dennis and Danny are long time friends, and so it made financial sense. I imagine if foursquare and contxts continue their growth they will get different short codes.

Ahhh, that Matt. He is so awesome. I want to be like him when I grow up. And I can *totally* hear his girlfriend saying she is going to kick your ass.

Awwwww... that is such an incredibly sweet sentiment. I'm seriously getting a bit misty-eyed.

Happy Anniversary (a bit late) to both of you!

Funny, they keep trying to get me to take the acid reflux meds for the symptoms that show up on the scope, but that I don't actually feel. So that might be part of why I lose my voice so easily? I need to actually listen to them and take the meds to see if it will help? Interesting!

Thanks for sharing the news - as a fellow sufferer, it is an exciting moment. I can't WAIT to hear the podcasts and other goodness now! (Go slowly though!)

in Flickr Old Skool Badges @ Dan Rubin’s SuperfluousBanter on Dan Rubin's Superfluous Banter
I disagree with those that say there is "no value to tthe end user" as Flickr needed to do this to allow them to then offer things that they could not do before. They could have handled it all better, but they are admitting that themselves.

That said, I'm totally stoked about adding "OldSkool" to my icon over there tonight.

in Web 2.0 consolidation ahead? on Scobleizer
We decided last night at the Houston NetSquared meeting that we are moving on past Web 2.0. We're going to Web 7.2. Although maybe your Mobile 2.0 idea is a better one.

I'm still kicking myself for not being brave enough to come talk to you at SXSW last week. I know, silly but true. Ah well, there is always next year...

I can't even begin to tell you how hard it has been to stop myself from jumping in the car and driving to Austin. If only I didn't have grown up responsibilities to take care of. *sigh*

in JCPenney selling Xbox360 on Dan Cameron
You know that there must be a lot of desperate moms out there that are willing to pay that kind of money to get their hands on an Xbox360 for Christmas.

However, much to my 13-year old son's dismay, I am not one of them.

So I'm reading along, humming the "My Favorite Things" song. A little Maria Von Trapp action going ... and then I hit it. "Hotel Sex". Now I just can't stop laughing! It seems somehow so ... naughty! *giggle*
