I thought I was going out on a limb buying a sofa for such a low price on the internet, but the reality coudn't be further away. I love the purchase I made from home reserve, and everyone that comes over is surprised how great it looks. I live in Manhattan and had to leave sofas in the past due to tight stair wells and small spaces. I will never have to worry about that again. Another plus is the interchangable fabric, I can easily change the decor of my entire living room at a whim by purchasing new fabric at a low price.

I agree with you in a lot of the things that you don't like about these candidates.
I don't see how you can relegate abortion to just another issue, though, as you inidcated on my blog. What else matters if you can't live? If you take away the right to life, what provisions can any leader offer? Obama talks about health care like he is selling a product. He cares little for BASIC health protection - that of the most helpless of our race and our families. This is what government is supposed to be for - protecting those who can't protect themselves, not selling voters a bunch of entitlements like they are products that you give away to the masses.

No restroom? What about a bush? Or a tree? Or a car, even, for cover :P Don't worry about losing bowel control, because all you're doing is stressing out about a what-if situation that will likely never happen.

I think everyone has days where we feel like this. I certainly do, so you're not alone.
I have days when i can become weepy myself for no apparent reason.
It seems like you have been busy lately. Starting new things.
Things can build up and we find it's hard to let go, Then it all comes out in one go.
It's so hard to find time just for ourselves. To look after ourself and take care of ourself.
Most times it just passes.
I spend a lot of time with God when i'm feeling like this.
I go through everything that i'm thankful for, and this certainly helps me to overcome my blues.
I do understand where you are coming from saying about a spirit of depression. I certainly can believe that.
Maybe you have the last of it and it's waiting for you to release it.
Especially so if you've experienced this before.
Stay Strong. Stay with the Lord. He will guide you through.
Please keep us posted with this.
I will also have you in my Prayers.

When does routine become ceremony, ceremony tradition, tradition obligation? That's something that bothers me.

My dad used to kiss me good night before I went to bed when I was young, and though it happened every night it was something I looked forward to and missed when it was skipped.

Prayer, on the other hand, is something that I similarly try to do every night before I go to bed, a communion with a different kind of father, I guess. Only I find myself praying because I feel that I have to and feeling guilty if I don't.

I guess I grew out of my dad's nightly kisses at some point, because I do remember feeling resigned to the silly and babyish tradition, but now that I don't get to see him every day I sometimes miss that feeling of love and acceptance that accompanied the simple routine.

So now I'm wondering if I should stop praying and see if I start missing God, or if it's better to just stick with what is often a boring routine because I know that the benefits are worth the costs?

Anyway You got me thinking.

Why do you blame the lending institutions? The problem went back to Congress who was pushing these institutions to lend more and more money to highly risky people, people who didn't even have jobs, who were not credit-worthy. HELLO? And even when the Bush Administration back in 2005 warned Congress (a la Barney Frank) and the committee that was overseen they were reprimanded for scare tactics and the program was noted as being good and viable. But it never was because of Congress' wish to let EVERY American have access to the American Dream. How irresponsible of them to do that on OUR dime. This is what we are talking about here. Hey DP... nI think that you need to tell the Dems/Libs that... that it isn't good enough to create jobs, you need to create good jobs. Obama's stimulus bill MAY temporarily create jobs but after two years it is the responsibility of the state that accepted the stimulus money to continue it . Is that a good job, is that your idea of a good job? Yes? NO... but according to the Dems timetable it is long enough to get them re-elected again and then what? We have to take back our jobs from government interference and go through this thing again. wow...I can finally use my iphone like i should. Having the iphone 3G 2nd generation I've been on the internet every two days to find out what to do. First I had someone helping me with it. But after it was jailbroken for two weeks it just stopped workin. I work at a company with 1500 employees across the US, in approx. 15 states. We upgraded to PayForce 1 1/2 years ago - and it is a terrible, slow system. While we've had better luck with support than you had, the system has major technical flaws. I can't wait to get off PayForce, I wish we'd never had converted.

Vicki, I have noticed that you and I are both advocates for parent involvement and supervision. I also admire you in taking the role and responsibility of supervising and educating the children in your care, but just as there are parents not doing their job, there are educators not doing theirs. What about those children? What about the children unsupervised at school? I’m not sure what mechanisms are in place for children to report predatory advances on MySpace and to be honest I don’t believe that many children would report them. Children are easily manipulated and alone children become vulnerable. I'm not forgetting that most children access MySpace from home and in all honesty I don't believe children belong on MySpace, but that is another subject of discussion.

I see that you and I agree on many things, but disagree on the ways to solve the growing problem and that’s ok too. I have already said that before DOPA is passed, if passed it needs to return to the drawing board and the issues that you have pointed out needs to be addressed.

Vicki, educate them? You can educate your child untill you are all blue in the face. The truth is that children don’t often think of the consequences of unhealthy choices. I speak from personal experience and believe me I educated my children.

But as a parents it’s not just important to know what they are doing at home, but at school too.

It was shocking to learn that my sixteen year old daughter (15 at the time) was able to use the computer at school unsupervised and like Suzanne Stanford,(internet safety coach who is helping to protect children and organizations from the dangers of the internet) I too learned that my daughter had an online identity.

While she may not have been on networking sites such as MySpace, she was using the internet at school to communicate with friends.

I can guarantee that it doesn’t matter how much you talk to them about the dangers and risk of internet safety, they’ll ignore the warnings. “It won’t happen to me,” is a myth. When a child posts personal information and a photo about themselves on a network site it has now made them a target for predators who are searching for the next child victim.

Should children really be using these websites in Class unsupervised? Should my daughter of been allowed to set up a hotmail account, and add her friends etc without my knowledge when as a parent I supervise her at home? I’m all for education and I believe that computers play an important role in their education. We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher’s hand, but what we don’t need is children accessing the net with no supervision at all.

How many children under 14 have already violated the MySpace terms of service? Children should not have unsupervised access to the internet. There are just too many opportunities for inappropriate interactions. MySpace does not belong in the classroom. Again that is just my opinion.

As to your comment about my website being blocked, I hope that my website is blocked by all public schools and libraries and most of my readership are adults reading my blog from the comfort of their own home!

I did have one teen who used my blog for education purposes but she did so at home, supervised!

If my blog was blocked from school computers my son would not of been able to surf my blog unsupervised when he should of been using the computer lab for his class assignment and his assignment sure did not involve showing his friends Mommy's blog.

Research also suggests that 50 per cent of youth have received unwanted sexual comments online, and that 25 per cent have been asked by someone they knew only online, to meet in person.

Vicki, I was also under the understanding from an article on mtv.com the proposed bill would allow the filter to be turned off for educational purposes by adults or minors visiting the sites under adult supervision.

I respect your views, however I was surprised and disappointed that the vote was 410-15. Many of those who oppose DOPA do so because they believe that children should be educated and not restricted. I agree that they should be educated, but let us face it, not all parents do their job and the parents who are doing their job are left with schools and libraries that are not doing their job.

I can not speak on behalf of the US, but I know that surprisingly some Canadian public libraries and schools do not monitor children’s internet access nor do they have filters in place. We were all teens once. I keep hearing the same comments. “Parents do your job.” Well I ask you this, “How many of you rebelled against your parents?”

No matter how much we take care of our children and educate them, it only takes them making one unhealthy choice to put them at risk. You can educate your child untill you are all blue in the face. The truth is that children don’t often think of the consequences of unhealthy choices. If DOPA will save just one child, don’t you think the bill is worth it?

I do want to add that while I support the bill, I do think that the legislation should be rewritten so it does not block sites such as Yahoo and Google. I think they need to better determine what sites will be blocked before passing the law.

These are just my thoughts!

I happen to be one of the employees that is being forced to move or lose. Some people think its pretty funny to watch as I lose my home and everything i have aquired because of some idiot that thinks hes god. I have never wished harm on anyone or ill will,remember the golden rule? None of the dems in the upper management will be relocating, yes the lowly supervisors are also moving. The only ones not making the move are the people that blago put in and they make 3 to 4x times what us peons make. I have worked for the state for 23 yrs. and this is the worst governor in my lifetime. Do you people really think that phelps or the gov gives a rats butt about any of you? Its all politics!!! Take if from the people who see it everyday. Wouldn't it be more feasable to bring in a manufacturing plant or some other type of company that can provide hundreds of jobs instead of moving a small amount? How is that helping the economy down there? Well you know the old saying ( It happened to me and you can believe it will happen to you.)

Great info! My son was very uninterested in food, and still continues to be from time to time. He is a pro at trying something though, but is still hesitant to eat most things.

Re: Dairy: dairy can create a morphine like effect in the brain, which is not only addictive but lowers the pain tolerance of children and can put them in a trance like state from time to time. This is mostly seen in children who are on the spectrum of developmental delays, but we hesitate to give dairy as well.

RE: water- it is common knowledge that all a baby needs for the first year IS breast milk or formula. Not willing to take my word for it, just ask your pediatrician.

Most, if not all, states require you to have a license to be a Mortgage Broker. In some states you are required to have a Mortgage Broker license. In some states if you have a Real Estate Broker license, you can perform real estate sales and you can do services as a Mortgage Broker.

You need to check with your state to see their requirements. They will also provide you with requirements/education for the appropriate license for your state.
