Reckon Ain't that the truth. If only the electorate were as into Burroughs as the kingshot word manipulators called politicians we might get somewhere. If only word teachers knew junk as junk as junk. If only we all used the NY Times rather than merely reading it. I wish I'd have met him just once, just long enough to thank him for the countless liberty lines, for even a hint or whiff of it. Fuck Mt. Rushmore without his face. I carried The Job around for years like the Good Book Gravitas and still return to it often. I carried it into the bank for Christ's sake, watched the words crawling nearer their empty vaults, enveloping their cheater's chitter-chatter.
