good post, I don't understand why only a very few companies use Twitter/social media to provide customer service.

after getting kicked off (and reinstated) Facebook numerous times last year, AND getting a cease and desist letter from them re my FacebookEconomy.com domain name. I think FB has toned things down now, at least a little.
I haven't been kicked off in awhile now, and their lawyers seem to have forgotten about the domain name =)

I was going to mention that Tom, of Tom's Pizza, should be using social media if he wants to be an informed citizen of the world.

Armano can *show* Twitter to Daniela, but he can't take a minute and set up an account for her?
What proof can you show me, besides the one photo, that Daniela exists?
And how was BusinessWeek on the story, less than an hour after it started?
I hate to rain on the parade, but this story has holes in it that you could drive a truck through =)

i disagree, and you are comparing Twitter to FB/MySpace? And those sites have been are for how long, and twitter is what, 2 years old?

I think you are right, at some point, if not everyone, the vast majority of humanity will be online, posting their thoughts.

it's just semantics, "is Facebook worth $100B today?" is laughable, "is Facebook going to be worth $100B one day in the future?" isn't as laughable.

I'm a Facebook Fanboy and I think all the apps developed for Facebook are worth at least $10M! (you saw the "I am Hungry" app sold for $20K? It's worth at least ten times that amount!).
