Btw, Karolis
what kind of research applications do you run in your cluster? I am also interested in your setup
Thanks.

in Rocks-4.3 kernel to support RTL8111b on R-squared
Hi Karolis,
I was also getting these errors before. In the kernel rpm that I built, the rtl8111b driver source code was not compiled. In the Makefile of the r8168 module, i emptied the list of source files to compile. It is only a placeholder module to add the hardware id to the vanilla module in the kernel.
here is the content of the Makefile
MODULES :=
SOURCES :=
HEADERS :=

"After rebuilding the kernel..." -> this refers to the instructions found in the "Creating a custom kernel rpm" instructions. The built package will be installed on your compute nodes and not the front end. Using the instructions from the "Adding a device driver", I created the r8168 directory as defined in the archive above. This generates the hardware mappings.
The generated rocks-boot*.rpm packages will be installed on your front end. It contains the vmlinuz and initrd files to boot the compute nodes from the network.

Yes, I highly agree William since iPods only transmit up to 20kHz stereo sound signals and they don't have transmitters.

in Introduction to SPICE: teaching demo on R-squared
yup, they gave me a teaching load of CE 141: Microprocessor labs for the summer term. They also discussed to give me the laboratory class of basic circuit analysis courses so that I can include SPICE simulations in the activities.

Thanks for the feedback Dean :D. I forgot to include in the original post that one of my assumptions was that the sound travels along free space. I have thought of protocols in which how the school can measure the sound source. The intensity of the point source can be measured using special equipment on exits of a building like windows and doors. Although this is a crude method, it can be assumed that the sound from these parts can be representatives of a point source for practical purposes for the school.

About Php 8.6k. It was a good deal since it came with the headset, leather case, usb cables, etc. The ones near the entrance costs more but the additional accessories were not in the package

Typo does not yet have support for latexrender (a formula rendering plugin). If it has, maybe I will consider migrating :D. Just look at those nice equations
