in Never underestimate Microsoft’s ability to turn a corner on Scobleizer
If you look closely at this years pdc you will see a culture shift in Microsoft. Gone are the photoshoped demos, Azure and windows 7 demos were off of live bits, real working applications. They have also started to embrace Open source with the shipping JQuery with Asp.net and the MVC team publishing a portion of their frame work on codeplex. I think they are going to be a very relevant company for a long time.

in Microsoft’s 320 million anti-Google weapons on Scobleizer
I guess I am not the only one that likes Hotmail more then Gmail.
@Ben, your argument is ridicules if you email the pic, the recipient could do what ever they wanted with it/post it where ever. With a link, you go back and remove it from the server.
Microsoft almost has a social graph with your email/messenger contacts.

in Hot at Google IO: Android on Scobleizer
Android still needs to be put on a phone that works on a cell network. Most of the cell providers don't seem to like open systems. Is that some how going to change?

in It’s time to take back the American Dream on Blown Mortgage
I would argue that the American dream has always been the real ownership of property . Be that real estate or material goods.

in Google jumps on Big Table of Web Services on Scobleizer
I don't care about Google unless they are going to support their product, With a live person I can call. Maybe they will offer support when it comes out of beta in 10 years. Google seems to be announce many things but they haven't been finishing any of them lately.

in Switching to Gmail… on Scobleizer
Robert you can have an email account Robert@scobleizer.com hosted by Hotmail or Gmail(they do all the email for your domain name) all you need is access to your domains a record. I have used both. I highly recommended it. And both are free.

I was shocked to see it on BBC, treated as a full academic study. I tend to believe this facebook or myspace relation is less a direct link to class and more related to the individuals peer group.

It doesn't matter. If you read the blog and take their word as gospel.. We're adults we need to think for our selves, and take every thing we read and watch with a grain of skepticisms.

in Google to penalize bloggers selling links? on Scobleizer
I would rather see them solve a real problem like TrackBack spam. Those people steal to get higher Google results. At least PaidPerPost every one wins, except the searcher( but they lose anyway since search is based on links)

Michael,
Is it competition that makes Private schools good if the fact they hand pick the students that attend? If you think its hard to remove a bad teacher from public school try to remove a bad student. Private school has no such trouble.

First 34(Speed) an hour is based off an 8 hour workday. And believe me, my wife is a teacher its an average of 16 hours a day.
Second you can fire teachers. There is a long process you have to follow. So school districts and principals tend not to do it.
Finally a principal is not a CEO that its utter insanity. they would be like a branch manager with almost no power. your district would represent the board of directors and the superintendent is CEO.
If you want to improve the system don't go after the grunt with no say and power. That is like evaluating Mcdonalds based on the cashier.
