in Are You Kidding Me NBC??? on Pop Critics
I can't understand why they would keep Knight Rider. I couldn't even get through 5 minutes of it. I did actually like the first Knight Rider show back in the 80's.

in TV Talk: Wednesday Night on Pop Critics
I watched 5 minutes of this show and it was awful! I think the problem is just bad acting. I'ts too bad, a revamping of Knight Rider could have been cool. I also thought a revamping of Bionic Woman could have been cool as well, but they really got off track on that one. The plot was bad on that show. The acting was pretty good however. Too bad. I would rather watch a really good show like Burn Notice then either of these bad revamped shows. Burn Notice is well done, has a good plot, fast cars, spys, mysteries to unravel, bad guys to put down and excellent acting and characterization. Its refreshing really! I like to see hero's kick the bad guys hard!

Great news! I really hope it works out to keep PC alive.....
In my head I hear the line from "Young Frankenstien" spoken by Gene Wilder...."Its......ALIVE!!!!!" At least I hope so...

in “You’re still here? It’s over! Go home. Go!” on Pop Critics
That last scene in Firefly (also my favorite TV show ever), always chokes me up too. The people in my office are going to think someone died....Where is my tissue? :P Anyway, I'll miss PC and everyone here. Thanks again for all the work to this site Mike and Jason and all the additional writers. I loved every minute I got to spend at PC.

Thanks again Raven for being a part of it!

I am really going to miss hanging out here. There really are not any entertainment blogs out there that have 1/2 of your content and quality, not to mention intelligent friendly members. I will miss you all. Thanks for the hard work and awesome site. I enjoyed every minute visiting PC!

in Smallville Splits Season Into Two Parts on Pop Critics
I have been watching this show on DVD's when each season is released. I have enjoyed the show and I think when you watch the episodes in order it is better then catching a show here and there on TV. I think this show needs a good ending and I hope the writer's do it justice.

in Is Charles Widmore the next Lost Character to be Killed Off? on Pop Critics
His comments seem very ungrateful, but also disrespectful. Why would someone "bash" their own show like that? Maybe he can't get out of character? It seems a very "Whitmore" type thing to say.

in Avoid Babylon A.D. At All Costs? on Pop Critics
I will be sad if this movie is bad. I was looking forward to it for a long time. I also love "Pitch Black" and "Chornicles of Riddick", which for whatever reason didn't make much money. I can't fathom why this would be the case, except it seemed a tad bit too complicated for the average person. I really wanted to see "Babylon AD" hit the main stream and become a huge block buster for Vin, to kind of make up for the loss they took on "Chronicles". This also would not be the first time FOX has distroyed a good thing...remember Firefly! I won't forget.

in 62-Year-Old Cher to Play Catwoman in next Batman? on Pop Critics
What? Yuck. Cher is like 60 years old, and that is just too old to play any kind of Cat Woman! This has to be wrong. They have done such a bang up job on casting so far, why would they mess up now? It doesn't make sense.

in Movie Poster for Babylon A.D. Starring Vin Diesel on Pop Critics
I am really looking forward to seeing this flim, but I also am perplexed about the marketing. We should be seeing more previews for it so the word gets out to more then just sci fi geeks like me.

Jason A Clark I agree completely. The marketing has been awful. I am finally starting to see a few previews, but they waited too long in my opinion.

in George Lucas Says Indy 5 Will Not Be A Mutt Williams Movie on Pop Critics
I liked Mutt, I wouldn't mind a spin off movie, but I still think Indi has to be in it to some extent. If Lucas wants to make another Indi movie I am there!

in In Defense of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on Pop Critics
I agree completely here. I loved the new Indiana Jones movie, but I loved all the other Indiana Jones movies as well. It made me happy and I enjoyed revisitng old characters I had dearly missed, and meeting new characters. I didn't really care about all the things other people seem to complain about, because I was having fun on the adventure. That is the point after all.

in Rumor: Angelina Jolie to play Catwoman in next Batman film on Pop Critics
I think Angie could do a wonderful Poison Ivy...or Harliquin (mostly unpopular) but she could own the outfits and she is good enough to act next to Bale. I am not too crazy about having another Cat woman...

in Ugh, New Line wants Austin Powers 4 on Pop Critics
I completely agree with your "Ax Murderer" comment. I have always wondered why Meyer's never made any more comedies of that caliber? Every Austin Powers movie that came out make me think, "But why not something witty like Ax Murderer?" Its too bad. I also always wanted to see him do a Sproket's movie, but that never worked out. It would have been another kookie character to do, like Wane, or Austin, or even the Guru....but I never saw Guru myself. (I have just read the horrible reviews on it). I hope he changes his mind on Austin Powers 4. I want something new and original. Also, I keep thinking, just because one of his films flopped in the box office after a long break doesn't mean he is horrible now. It just means he is going through a rough patch. We have all seen other comedians go through this: Like with Robbin Williams it is hit and miss, Adam Sandler is the same way. Loved Widding Singer, 50 First Dates, but hated Zohan. I think the same thing about Sandler sometimes like WHY? Why did he do Zohan when he could make another Spanglish, or Wedding Singer? Anyway, let's just see what happens with Myers. I want to blieve he can produce something I like again one day. He has the potential.

jina Interesting idea... I wonder what Myers would be like in a more serious role. I love it when comedians stretch themselves in new genres. Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting, Jim Carrey in the Truman Show or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or even Will Ferrell in Stranger than Fiction. Instead of rehashing a character like Austin Powers, look for some interesting work that will show your range. If only he read Pop Critics... then he would know what to do.

in Ridley Scott’s Nottingham Delayed - Probably Won’t Happen on Pop Critics
That is dissapointing because we could use a new take on the Robbin Hood story. We haven't had a movie like that since Kevin Costner's (sp?) "Robbin Hood" movie. If we are going to have Sherlock Homes re-imagined, why now Robbin Hood? I guess we'll see what happens. Russel Crow would have been a good casting idea also.

in We have the awesome Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince teaser! on Pop Critics
This trailer looks much darker then the other films. I am liking the darkness and creepy feel. I am looking forward to seeing this movie, even though this is my least favorite of all the HP books, but maybe it will be better on film. There should be a lot of action.

in Conan Teaser Poster Looks Like Arnold on Pop Critics
I am not ready to say this movie is going to be bad yet. We don't know who they have in line to play the star. There is an Autrian body builder that might be able to handel it, right now he is in the new Terminator movie with Christian Bale. He looks similar to the way Arnold did back when he did the first movies. I would love to see a new face, a new tallent revealed in this movie. They don't always have to use a famous face for every film. Besides, there is much more story to be told, and I think we need a new Conan story. I am hopeful it will be great.

in Movie Review: “Hancock” (2008) on Pop Critics
Do you think this movie will really be a big hit? I am not sure. I usually wan't to see Will Smith's movies, but this one doesn't interest me. I am not sure why, there is something about the previews that don't appeal to me. But I will say the move does look like it would be entertaining and funny. It will be interesting to see what the box office draw is on Hancock. Scotty, you will have to tell us what you think about the movie if you see it this weekend. I would rather take a PC critics review of the movie rather then any other source.

Mike Olbinski Good call on the relying on a PC critics review :)

I mean, it's good summer fun, but just not up to the potential it could be.

Will it be a big hit? I think it will make a TON of cash this weekend, but likely drop off fast. People wont talk about how awesome it was. Heck, for a superhero movie, the special effects weren't that amazing. Iron Man, the Hulk, etc., all has monstrous special effects.

I also think the previews don't really give people a good idea on whether it's a comedy or a drama.
