Obama has the greater experience in terms of making sound decisions best for the people.

In regards to Palin and the issue of sexism, we should look at the origin of the matter - McCain. There is no way anyone would genuinely believe he would like picked a male of her statue for his running mate. This move was purely political. As a woman, I am ashamed that Palin would allow a man to use her and exploit her family. She still can't see the big picture - she is truly weak as she is naive.

In regards to Palin as a political figure, I'd rather have another term of Bush. He is blatantly a horrible president, but can make me laugh at least. Palin can't put together nouns, verbs, prepositions, etc. together to structure a sentence to save her life. She speaks in jibberish; you can't understand her half the time. She can't provide adequate answers to issues she should be advocating. This woman is a joke. The world will continue to laugh at us if this political party actually wins.

WAKE UP AMERICA. Palin is no where near qualified to retain the second most powerful seat in the world. McCain's decisions shows that he will be of further detriment to our current fragile state of the nation.

*OBAMA/BIDEN*

Re: Oprah On Twitter and the Nosedive Begins

Great analysis, especially where you cite all the other Web phenomenons that tanked due to popularity.

Re: Jake And Amir Dot Com - Box

You're very passionate about supporting shit work. Let's just say it was a long time ago.

Re: talus slope of the mind

Umm...yeah...Dots just get stuck in my teeth. She missed many opportunities over the past few weeks to expedite the inevitable. By commiting to support the Democratic nominee (BHO), and encouraging her loyal followers to do the same, she can help rally all Dems behind a common cause.

Politics, much like radio, is no longer about "substance". The process has been dumbed down election after election. It makes sense that Barack Obama is leaving himself plenty of wiggle room in terms of specific policies. Most Americans only want a confident, comforting presence in the Oval Office, whether they admit it or not. It worked TWICE each for Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush! The Republicans "get it", and apparently now the Democrats do.

Hillary has to offer her support UNconditionally. Screw that 'I've got 18 million voters' BS. If she muscles her way on to the ticket like that, the subliminal message becomes backroom politics is still the order of the day. She and Bill Clinton both let some real crazy mess fall out of their mouths during the campaign, and this is the price she pays. There may still be a spot for her in the Cabinet if BHO is elected, tho.

Re: Mugguru Manthragatthelu

Title Bagundhi.. If you read the books you would see that they are nothing like Twilight. Yes there are a few small similarities but since the books were written so long before Twilight you can't say they copied SM. If anything it's the other way around.

Re: fools around

nice gpoyw :)

Re: ax-mcqueen

<3 177

Re: i am in like with me - And i found a cool record cover! Anyone know who...

those were the most hipstery nonhipsters ive ever met...loft in bklyn, 'staches, obscure record albums, couldn't be more accurate if it were staged!

Re: i am in like with me - I met Patrick, my new BFF! We got married and...

the carnation was precious

Re: i am in like with me - I got to see/meet Andrew WK, the rockstar,...

hey what happened to my awk pic? :)

Re: i am in like with me - Wow. Stating they took action after principal gave them the complaint. Press reporters and video cams, focusing hard to get each and every glimpse of it, and no one doing anything. Were there no people around, was it only police, what were all of them doing? didnt they have stones and rods around to get them off the scene... everybody wants a live movie... damid!!

These guys fight together for tamil nadu, to be their own state all day, and now fight among themselves for caste, and some watch it as if its fun.

I think this is the same thing happening to india, fought for indian independence together but fight against each other in the name of caste. Today we can see the actual pain in the video, which each individual in india goes through because of this caste. You should consider posting what has happened to nominated and winning companies from previous years.

I know that the obvious response is that a large percentage of start-ups fail or hit impediments to success, but this is not a random sample of the general start-up population. This is a selective sample of industry achievers (kind of the like the chances for success in the NFL for an All-American college football player vs. all college football players). In theory, the success rate should be substantially higher for that selected sample than for start-ups in general.

Re: Lawyer gives up day job to focus efforts on iPhone applications

Mike is a good, smart, hard-working lawyer, and that should translate well in his new entrepreneurial mode.

I wish him the best of luck. The same entities now receiving government aid also provide endorsements and attempt to influence policy via editorials and reporting. In this increasingly one-party state in which the newspapers overwhelmingly endorse the candidates from one party, the government has just made the press more dependent on the government and the members.

Will the newspapers endorse candidates that favor revoking this benefit? Will they provide tough coverage to candidates that favor this newspaper benefit? In both cases, I have serious doubts.

Nonetheless, Washington state newspapers should now be viewed with the same skepticism as a government mailing or "Granma," the government-run newspaper in Cuba.

Re: iPhone app developer not worried as Apple moves onto his turf

I see your point about how apps developers are and will be different than the traditional model. The financial statement to which "red" applies is the income statement, not the balance sheet. Since a balance sheet shows assets and liabilities and equity at a certain date rather than profit and loss for a period (with losses being referred to as "in the red"), "red all over" doesn't make sense applied to a balance sheet.

The DS team loves to come off as clever and all-knowing, so I thought I would point out yet another example where they are neither.

Re: Microsoft exec: Apple lawyers tried to squelch Windows ads

Here is the tell that the story is being embellished (and I say this a someone who has been a corporate lawyer for many years): it is unlikely that a lawyer would place such a call to the COO. A complaint such as the one described by the MSFT COO is usually done in writing to the company's General Counsel (sometimes to the GC and/or CEO), and if a phone call is made, it is as a follow-up to the addressee(s) of the writing.

Re: Do Doctors Make Too Much Money?

i make 223k. i drive a jetta. i live in a comfortable home and am able to support my wife and kid while paying the mortgage and my loans off. i would consider my income appropriate for what i do (emergency medicine). i worked hard to get here and am still working hard. i could care less what the public thinks about my income.

i have a colleague at my hospital who drives a ferrari. he is plastic surgeon who HUSTLES. makes himself very available around the clock every day. drives the other plastics guys who take call nuts because he probably steals a lot of consults from them. but by being so omnipresent, available to help even for the underinsured, and from what i've seen him do at the bedside, skilled at plastics, i say if he wants to work this hard and be rich enough to drive around in a ferrari, rock on man. you deserve your money and fancy car. it is not my business or the business of anyone else not capable and/or willing to do what you do to complain about your income.

Re: Is Psychiatric Illness Associated With Multiple Drug Allergies?

i'm allergic to epinephrine. it makes me go into anaphylactic shock.

Re: How Do Patients Choose Their Hospital?

where did you get these numbers? i'd like to show them to my hospital beancounters who see press ganey as their be-all and end-all.

Re: Should A Doctor Be Compensated For Taking Care of Sick Patients On An Airplane.

you're not a good samaritan if you expect payment. if he volunteers he should be prepared to spend the rest of the flight working and receive no compensation. if that arrangement doesn't suit him, he has every right to not volunteer his services, and we have no right to judge him for that choice. anyone who has a problem with that is welcome to lead by example and volunteer themselves.

just don't volunteer, and then complain about lack of compensation after the fact. do you have a contract promising you anything? no you don't.

Re: Do Not Watch!! In Seattle, the choice is always between left and further left. In the end, everyone can be assured that the policy differences between the candidates will be immeasurable. Oh, and they both probably favor solving problems by committee, whose recommendations will be reviewed by a task force, then adopted by a blue-ribbon panel, then voted on by the city council and the legislature before finally being placed on the ballot as referendum for public approval. I believe they call that "Northwest Values" or "The Seattle Way."

Re: Walk Score: Cool Green Google Map Mashup

Great Idea, but bad in the implementation.

I tried my friends home, who lives in suburbia and walks no where, and my home, with almost every convenience located within 5 blocks. Caller tunes (or Ring Back Tones) make 60% of the VAS rev. That is where the platform owner (onmobile) has less upside - compared to hungama - (content license owner). They have grown beyond T series - Sony and now paramount movies (watch out for Bewoulf) - Going international - people churn is an issue but Neeraj is handling it very well with Saleem's strong bsiness accumen. Valuation wise they should be looking at about 1200 crores (15 times 07-08 rev multiple).

Re: Mahesh Samat Appointed MD Of Disney India

Can any one tell me more about mahesh?
Ans when is the last dy for TN Prabhu ?
