Nice work on the guest post! Wow, the discussion that ensued over that! I'm not totally drinking the FF Kool-Aid myself, so I'm happy to present another viewpoint about it. I enjoy FF quite a bit, but am not *obsessed* just yet.

I'm a PC girl myself - having been immersed in I.T. for years, I know just what to do on a PC. Plus, I love WLW for blogging! :) I would like to have a Mac, too, but it would be a luxury purchase. With 4 computers, I can't justify spending the $$$. But if I could, I'd love a MacBook Air for when I'm out and about.

Agreed - even if I don't want to *be* in every conversation, I at least want to see it, know it's happening. But sometimes I just want to "like" a conversation (like on FriendFeed)...too bad we can't do this on blogs via a "like" button (instead of or in addition to a digg button)

I twittered this earlier today, too...this totally cracked me up!! I only wish this was in color so I could make it into a stylin' desktop background! (I have no design skills to do it for myself!)

Out of my 532 subscribers, I only have 52 readers subscribed to my feed via Google Reader, but I have 174 according to Feedburner (so does that mean 122 people have me on iGoogle?) Weird, I thought it would be the other way around.

OK, there may be a dearth of A-list women bloggers, but there are women bloggers out there, tons of them. They're all over LJ forming communities of mommies, making fansites, and blogging their thoughts dear-diary style. They're forming micro-communities together with a handful of friends and they are very active in these communities. They're not A-list rockstars...A-list? They would say "who cares?" They're making friends and forming bonds in the online world.

[However, as a girl who *is* a geek, the full disclosure is that these blogs bore me to tears.]

I'm glancing through my tech blogroll, & I see male bloggers dominate my list. "Blog" is not yet a household name...believe me, I've had to define "blog" 1000 times to the non-techies in my life. And for the non-techies of GenY (who are actually pretty techie), a blog is just that thing they read on myspace. Good blogs, blogs worth reading, are still *somewhat* the kingdom of the geeks, though thanks to BlogHer and the like, this is starting to change. But for now, the kingdom is still a bunch of boys.
