A "cycle" is 0% to 100%. Thus you would need 20 5% charges to make a full cycle.

>> no possibility of promotion or raise, ever
That's not really true, is it? In fact, most schools will now "promote" a student to the next grade if they know the material or not. I'd say it more as "one promotion annually, regardless of effort used"

Better yet, investigate the user of hands free software, and get your computer to fill out your timesheets for you - its much easier, and saves you heaps of billable time!

The problem with the old Hulk was the CGI. Why don't they hire an ACTOR to play the Hulk?

in Firefox vs. IE 7 (IE7 having trouble with Google sites?) on Scobleizer
IE7 has moved the browser game on beyond Firefox.
It’s a really nice program - no tab bar, no tool bar, no menu bar. Instead, a clean-sheet look at how the GUI of a browser should work, maximising screen real-estate. And you know what? It works!
I must say I've also used it to browse Google Reader and Gmail. Maybe if I timed it it might turn out to be slower than Firefox (which itself is *a lot* slower than Opera), but I haven't noticed.

Still not convinced it wasn't all a big publicity stunt either - I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but this one looked all a bit too neat... click me name to read my blog post.

I was interested to note that, even before the apology, friends who'd earlier joined the mass protest group were leaving again.
The new Feeds has added an interesting new dynamic to Facebook - almost a herding instict! As Zuckerberg himself said, without the new Feed the protest group would never have grown so quickly...
BTW Mr WaxJelly, as I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing, anyone could've seen your hypothetical friend "coming out of the closet" without the feed - no privacy settings were changed.

in The world’s ultimate committee (happy Labor Day!) on Scobleizer
Damn I wish I could come up with this kind of crap. The organisers must be making a mint - they even have Merc giving them chauffeur-driven cars to "ride around Berlin in" while they pontificate on how to save the environment.
Oh, hold on...

But you hint at why Flickr can't develop as fast as Zooomr - its' traffic. When Flickr was as small as Zooomr is now, it could develop just as quickly. And when (if) Zooomr grows as large as Flickr, it will have the same constraints in rolling out new features.
Let's just hope Kris gets Zooomr sorted before it gets to big - and for sure, there's plenty that needs doing. Try viewing Zooomr in IE6, for example...

Do a search for Bloglines on Feedster or Technorati. Bloglines is down worldwide, and people are noticing :)
I have my grades up now, but my entire elementary experience was basically me not doing anything but casually listening to what was being taught and doing 1 out of 50 assignments (on average.)
