First and last time at Macworld? It's unfortunate that it's always in the states; major trade shows like that never came over to Europe.

I am surprised over Apple scrapping Macworld though, when Mac enthuasists love it so! (but hate it too, for we must spend and buy new gadgetry)

MG Siegler Yeah, the consensus is that Apple simply wants to (and can) now do its own events without having to conform to a set schedule every January for Macworld. I wonder if Apple will keep doing a bunch of smaller events or if they'll have one big one a year to unveil a ton of new stuff. I bet it's the former.

in 5 Things That Are Wrong With Firefox on Dotcomslashblog
I think Firefox is still fine, but I fail to see why they need to add features. Why does software always get new features, never left at the status quo when and where it works?

Excel's patronisingly simple. Also, Pages has a different audience.

Same. Just clearing my 750 unread feeds, I reply to Tweets when I'm on Twitter and I'm not a big FF fan.

Oh, and by the way. The first WordPress blog I came to was half-decent, but the following batch were awful!

I doubt my writing is the world's best. It isn't as captivating, as well-written or as unique as half of what I read.

Still, I feel that by blogging I'm developing my writing and creativity. You really can't argue against that.

Not much point in this as it's not social as no one else uses it.

I did an article on the matter. Lots of ISPs already filter our content, mainly to stop the spread of paedophilia. Perhaps he means just blocking certain ports?

I've got to agree with the last meals page. Observe how the Texan government must've brought it down as it's on the Internet Archive as opposed to their site.

in Spam is Evil, or, Praise Akismet on Elliott Back's Blog
Akismet is great... besides when it goes down. Then you're hit with a nasty surprise that is hundreds of spam comments to moderate.

But that's the problem with any service which relies on a remote server, I guess.
