Stealing it would not only damage my brand, but it would damage my reputation personally as well. "Ranking software" as mentioned in the piece will probably will fade away. Building that functionality into Google Analytics or the Webmaster Console would be a nice move for Google.

Re: Can Yahoo Mash Cut It?

Even with my hatred toward most time wasting social networks, this one is hovering on the low end. There really isn't anything new about it and their drag-n-drop interface is pretty weak. I don't think it will gain much traction.

Re: More on SEO

"Incompetent or crooked. How many? I would guess well over 90%"

Where does that number come from? I'm sure you've met a large number of part-time and amateur SEO types, but out of those how many are professionals actually getting work? I'd say the majority of professionals offering their services aren't incompetent or crooked.

Re: Why the Fuss about BlogRush?

Amen to that. For one I've found readers don't do much in the way of the sidebar unless it's really in your face, which is annoying on the other hand. Also I prefer to keep my design clean and not clutter up everything with a bunch of garbage. There are other similar widgets out there without the popularity that blogrush has right now so we'll see what happens to it. Not exactly worth the excitement level in my opinion.

Re: Why the Fuss about BlogRush?

@Sueblimely - I made that mistake when the MyBlogLog craze started...one of my posts got dugg and probably lost me 5k visitors before I took it off. Now I wait until the initial buzz has died down and see what came of it. I think it's time to put that one back on.

@HMTKSteve - I've never seen any feedback on adgridnetwork. Have you used it and to what results?

Re: Digg Top Users Now Permanently Redirected to the Digg Blog

I guess we'll have to go by the third party top diggers now.

By the way, the link to the efinke.com post is broken!

Re: BIGLIST SEO Blogs Update 10/26/07

Aren't trackback spammers annoying?
