in Tex is Now an Angel on The Launching Pad
Kotch is a great player-- he plays nearly flawless defense. His fielding pct is .998, just one mistake all year. His batting is solid. He's got 12 HR, .278 batting, .448 Slugging pct, and .327 OBP. (check those numbers, I might have transposed a few) He's got heart, comes from a great baseball family, and he's been brought up in the Angels farm system which most will say is the best in the MLB. Having played for Scioscia you will find him to have an outstanding work ethic and attitude. You couldn't get a better player for the money his contract this year is only 1.45 million. He's got 3 more years which is very good for you all as well. Congrats on the trade, you'll be glad to have him. Take good care of the kid-- he's a good one. I know we're going to miss him.

Great post! Google is definitely a unique company, but I do feel that all companies can learn to use their employees more effectively. Listening is key!

"Being misunderstood, feeling not accepted, even among your own kind of people. Why should I expect to feel any different, isn’t this a very small account of what Christ said we should expect?"

This feels like where I find myself often - having 4 kids!
Thank you for sharing!

in In the Matter of Health Care Versus Baloney on The Colorado Independent
What about the unemployed, retired, ill? Am I to understand that health care is funded through payroll deductions? Right now, health care is through the employer, but as soon as someone is sick and no longer able to work, there goes the health care.  Does the proposal for the single- payer health plan work the same?  If so, then it will not solve anything.  Health insurance has become just what it is called, insurance for the healthy.  What we need is Illness insurance, something that will also cover when one does eventually need that insurance.
