Nice!!!! man i always thought that these Uiq symbian parts where just loose ends.....looks like its gonna be all nokia's now!!! man imagine like 10 years from now....the innovation symbian will probably go through....

I think it's a good move, Ok Nokia will be in charge and own the whole of Symbian, but the other companies involved all have the same mission. But whether or not it will be fully open is still open to debate. I guess we'll just have to trust Nokia on this and hope they move Symbian (which will probably become S60) forward for the good of the consumers.

nice....ever since shortstracker and that gps football game....gps enabled phones would eventually just tell you where all your friends are in the world. :) look like this is a step in that direction!!! nice post man

I guess it's got it;s pro's and cons also. But on the whole I'm all for it. It's the integration of social status, location, and sharing I'm looking for. I'm just eager to see a device released with all these features integrated into a device, be it Android or Symbian or iPhone.

yea i'm on the same side...why did they reduce the screen....man the first thing you would notice is the massive screen.......but i have to say Nokia did kinda give them a nice look, its more 'together' going on now...haha, nice post Abul

in Weeding Through the Spin; iPhone 3G is NOT Cheaper on Symbian in Motion
You know i was actually exited when i heard that a 3G iphone was coming whats even more i actually started saving up for one and when i heard rumors about it floating a 5mp or even a 3mp auto focus cam i was so defenet to buy it, i mean its ui is really like no other; i used my friends the other day and somehow just in using it you totally forget about its shortcoming....i was just so blown away with moving around pictures with my fingers, it really did feel like something else, but the new 3G iphone doesn't really seem like a upgrade to me, i mean ok you have gps now but theres a addon GPS for the original iphone and new firmware is great but that can easily be upgraded on the original i somehow get the feeling that i'm gonna get ripped off when i get one now cause what about the people who waited in line day and spent so much to get the original one would it have been so hard for apple to put 3g on the origianl? i seems like a marketing gimmick to me apples knew their product would sell like hot cakes because of all the hype they created so they exploited costumers and than it seems to me they did the same with the 3g iphone, all that hype that the iphone was finally gonna be complete but ended up just getting minor addons, i kinda disapointed...

Hey it's good to see people waking up, and clearing the haze that Apple has put upon them. Zylam, if you don't already have a stack of Apple products, just take that money you saved up and buy nice HTC device. They have touchfolw that is almost the same as the iPhone's. I have to note that it's not up to par yet, but I believe that it will be soon (upgrades in firmware will be available). And if you don't mind waiting, Nokia is working hard on their touch UI.

a portable battery pack, not a bad idea it'll be great on long trips, thanks for the info Zach a friend was hating the battery life of the 8800 maybe i'll leave him a message about the battery pack

Another thing - I'm using a Nokia BT headset right now so I can even use the same tip to charge my headset. I love it.

I really can't recommend it enough Zylam. In fact, it's changed the way I charge my phone even at home. I keep the Proporta plugged in and use it with my Nokia instead of plugging it into the wall. This way, I can keep charging when I get calls or need to use my phone in any other way.
Also cool - it comes with a variety of interchangeable tips so you can use the one pack to charge you Nokia, SE, Samsung, iPod, etc.
Of note, they're currently out of stock but should be getting more in just in time for the June promo I would think. :)
