I know that Entrecard isn't that fair when it comes to this. Small blogs that receive no traffic or subscribers cost anywhere from 100-200credits for an ad when the very high ranked ones cost only 50-150. I just don't know what to think of this...

Milk Man, I understand how frustrated you are that your theme got stolen and I have a friend that prevents these type of hacks for all bloggers. The friend of mine can basically copy any theme, but he chooses not to. Instead he helps prevent others from "ripping" a theme. I'll be sure to introduce him to everyone when we're ready :)

As for Mr. X taking your theme, you really shouldn't post a link to his site even if it is needed. I'm sure after this, he'll actually receive some buyers...

What I did was I took off the "DO FOLLOW" thing for my comments and I just deleted that plugin. I hope after deleting it, spammers won't get a part from comments unless of course it doesn't work that way.

Cow, you bring up yet another great point. It's true that subscribers stop visiting your blog because it's all in the feed, but people like me do not stop. I love checking feed subscribers and any type of layout change, so I actually look at my feed just to open the post in a tab. I know it's pretty pointless to subscribe to feeds, but I also want to help out :)

MASS PAY has been around for a while now and I know that GPT sites use it a lot. I didn't know it would cost money to send funds to other users because I'm unclear on that.

"Anyway, here’s a quick tip that can save you a nice bit of cash. PayPal offers a service called “Mass Pay“, something not a whole lot of people seem to know. Any transaction that’s done by Mass Pay will only cost you a dollar."

If that means that it'll only cost $1 for the person sending it and the receiver does not receive a fee, I would definitely try this.

I have basically DROPPED Entrecard after realizing the horrible things it causes. I still have the widget on my blog, but I don't drop much cards anymore. I range from only 10-30cards a day rather than those crazy 300 drops a day. I have realized that because of Entrecard, Alexa is not going to be worth as much anymore since it's just HYPE that makes a site rank high.

I have been experimenting one of the strategies for about 3 weeks now. The experiment is to drive 55-60 on the freeway. So far I've noticed that I could pull up to 25 miles more from my gas tank. This is a bonus for me since I drive an old HEAVY SUV :)

I always say keeping things simple is the way to go, so I'm going to take a shot at it with my negative comment. I hope it won't offend you in any way because I'm just trying to help you.

1. The 2 sidebars on the right side gotta go. One loads before the other or sometimes it doesn't load at all. Try making it into ONE.
2. Take away all the gunk that fills up the post page; (the "P.S." below the comment box, the Top Page ads below the comment box, take away all the stuff that leads to your "RSS feed", remove the feed counter that you have on every post)
3. Have a footer for your SEO products, blogcatalog, and mybloglog.

Hope this gives you some ideas.

Please usually purchase these type of things to use the affiliate program, but I'm positive that you may find all the info on Google..

Entrecard is great, but it's mainly fake traffic just like StumbleUpon. Users just use it to get clicks, but rarely receives true subscribers. Comments are received, but subscribers are still low because it's only being advertised to the Entrecard crowd. However, I use the widget, but I don't depend on it and drop 300 cards a day :)

At this time, the iPhone would be the best for these capabilities including the browser, but you may have a lot of trouble typing. I previously wanted the ATT Tilt aka HTC 8925 (unbranded and unlocked) because it has a big screen, all the bluetooth and GPS function, and it has a slide out QWERTY keyboard. Because of the $400-600 price tag a few months back, I purchased the O2 XDA Flame for $300 from my wife's father. The O2 XDA Flame has a huge screen with an NVIDIA videocard with one of the fastest cell phone processors. The only problem is there is no keyboard and the on screen touch for keyboard is very small.

Instead of looking for phones that are in the "MARKET", I suggest trying http://howardforums.com/ to find phones that are NOT branded and not in the market of cell phone carriers. Your best bet is those phones are more expensive, but have capabilities that are very very close to mobile computers. Also, search for more HTC model phones. There is one that is a portable computer/phone with I think a 4-5" screen w/ slide out keyboard. The price is about $1000, but you get what you pay for.

It's a pretty good strategy to put your blog up on SitePoint to gain visitors. It's mainly a marketing technique that costs a little :) Even if John Cow did in fact use this technique, I don't think we should bang him for it. He's pretty smart in doing it IMO, but because this post pointed the things out, there may be more of these on SitePoint in the upcoming weeks...:(

Thanks for bringing those questions up. I hope I answered everything below :)

1. Existing subscribers are not excluded and I will verify participating in the contest to know which ones are included. This is why I need participants to leave a comment.

2. The Forum entry methods are separated to each forum, so 20 total tickets could be obtained.

3. I do apologize that I didn't realize that I mentioned only comments on the "latest posts" count. Older posts do in fact count too.

4. Each blog post on different blogs (if you own more than one) count as an entry.

5. There are going to be hidden entry methods around my blog, forum, and messaging through social networks such as Twitter, BlogCatalog, and MyBlogLog.

6. I'm keeping track of the entries every single day through Excel. I have learned from my previous contest that if I don't keep track early, it would be hard in the end. The reason I ask for the same username/e-mail on all the comments is so I can keep track of all the stuff including forum posts. The forum posts are easy to keep track of because I can check the usernames in the admin dashboard.

7. There are a total of 12 winners. I'll throw all the entries and names (each entry = one name) into the randomizer site to find the winners. The 2 laptops will go to 2 different winners. The $1,000 will be split among the 3-12th winner ($100 each)

8. To make things fair, each winner will only win ONE item.

Oh dang Garry, I was planning on publishing a post like this lol. You bring up very good points that I personally do use. I used to post every single day and I would stress to make sure I get my posts published by 10-11:30AM every single day. It wasn't until I missed a few posts that I realized the more posts does not mean it is a good thing. Now I'm writing every other day or every 2-3 days, but publishing articles that are very long :)
