I agree with Barney Frank. I've had a Obama sign on my window since before the primaries, and I live in a Red to Purple state with a lot of electoral votes. I haven't donated money yet, but I've thought about it.
I'm gay, and if Nunn were the VP candidate I only vote for him reluctantly. I would barely lift a finger to help Obama. Gay issues aside, I think Nunn is a horrible VP candidate. I'd like him to pick someone like Mark Warner, or Tim Kaine, and turn VA blue. I'd like him to choose someone young and at least tolerable to the liberal wing of the party.
I understand that Obama has to say what he does to get elected, but usually candidates give hints that they will do good to the gay community if elected. He doesn't need to support marriage rights, but he could do a couple interviews with the gay press, and should have people like Barney Frank, and Tammy Baldwin enough on his side to do the heavy lifting on the issue.
