in NBC’s The Chopping Block, Dollhouse, True Blood, And The New Ratings Game on Are You Screening?
A few years ago I watched a show called "Reunion" on Fox. It was a mystery about 6 old friends, in which one of them is killed and we would find out the killer on the last episode of the season. Its ratings weren't great and Fox cancelled after about 10 episodes with no resolution to the mystery. I still haven't forgiven them and haven't watched any new shows Fox has started since then until Dollhouse, and that is only because I am a big Whedon fan.

areyouscreening Great example, and am glad you commented to illustrate the point. It's the sort of thing that can really make an impression on viewers. It's like the new show Harper's Island coming soon. Imagine if that got pulled? It's a crazy move.

Thanks for the comment.

in United States of Tara - Television Review on Are You Screening?
I felt the same way, although I thought that Toni Collette's acting was great. I'm going to have to give the show a few more weeks to really see if it is watchable. I would like a little more time without the alters, when she is just herself.

areyouscreening I completely agree. I have to watch a few more episodes to see what they can do with at least getting me interested, and I definitely want them to focus a bit more on the normal Tara. You can't be all gimmick.

Appreciate the comment.

in The Advertising Conversation on Twitter on Orient Lodge
I actually just looked into advertising on Twitter the other day. The only two ad sites I had heard of were Magpie and Twittad. I looked at Magpie first and immediately discarded the idea. I hate the concept and really hope it doesn't become a big thing because it will ruin twittering. On the other hand, I signed up with Twittad because I totally agree with you that it is as unobtrusive as can be and shouldn't bother anybody. However, because it is so unobtrusive,I can't really see making any money from it. Maybe not everything we do online should be monetized.

Thanks for these great tips, especially the tips about Facebook. I use it but never really got the hang of using it well. Hopefully this will help. I can definitely vouch for Twittermoms. One of the best social networks for moms around.

I tool I would highly recommend for bloggers is Scribefire. It is a firefox extension that is extremely helpful in writing blog posts.

That's a great picture. I'll have to send this to my husband. He's a golf fanatic. I can't even imagine how golf can be played on a course like this.

These all sound great. I especially love things that are multipurpose like the hair spray that is spf but also a dry cleaner. And I wear lipgloss everyday anyway, so might as well get one with protection. Great recommendations.

Couldn't agree more. I can live without the slideshow, but I'm very unhappy about the removal of the entrecard categories.
