Yep, that is indeed the most scripted line in Hollywood :)

I never ever think the INS goes easy on me. I have many anecdotes on this blog that attest to how incompetent, uninformed or confused they can be (I don't make it any easier with the myriad of stamps and visas). However, having a straight answer for the simplest and first question asked is always a good start :)

Since I get e-mailed, and also see most recent comments on the left nav, there's a good chance I would see it =)

We actually did not pass through Barcelona in the January Spain trip that was mentioned on the Cadius mailing list, Jorge. Sorry about the lack of contact information but this site got pushed out ahead of schedule and I never got around to putting that information up. You can contact me at "web at kurioso" though.

I definitely understand why Picasa does that and I can even appreciate it being a hidden thing but that's a little extreme. I'm the type who doesn't mind the changes to be permanent or at least, be able to publish the modified stuff online without Hello, since Hello only applies to Blogger.
Of course, since Blogger == Hello == Picasa == Google, it's unlikely this will ever happen.
I will continue to use Picasa for viewing pictures on my own computer ... for now.

Good point. I wasn't aware of that actually. From http://www.flickr.com/forums/ideas/1553/:
Good to know. I hope they support export as well as import since I've spent some time putting keywords into my flickr now.
IPTC support is now officially in the works (done on the development server even). The first revision will be simple (just caption/description/keywords) but we plan to enhance it as we go :)

Yeah, we have our tickets (bought with miles, woohoo!). The return date may be changed depending on job circumstances but we definitely intend to spend Chinese New Years there.

Last two pages is much more impressive. We did realize that having visas is the fast way to fill it up and look pretty darn cool as well.
I'd add Singapore to your list and also Shanghai and don't miss New Zealand when you do Australia. Not necessairly Auckland but more the outdoor life. I think you'll really enjoy that the most actually.

uurf: I've not used iPhoto that much. Mostly it was on a trip out in Europe when my friend brought his laptop. There were a number of really minor frustrating lack of features and even UI issues I had with it but I can't recall specifics at the moment. Your mileage may vary, of course and more importantly, iPhoto -> Mac, Picasa -> PC so it's sort of moot.
Sean: Trillian 3.0 is in alpha for both regular and pro editions. It's right on the front page of www.trillian.cc. The best parts are consolidated history, video/audio integration for messengers that support it, Rendezvous support and type-ahead contact finding.

First, if you actually read, I am Canadian. I happen to be in the UK but really, I care so much not because of the overarching influences (which exist) but because I was and likely will be a resident of USA.
Also note that I don't support the idea of my having a vote in the US elections. I said I'd like to talk to somebody and understand why they'd support the current administration. If open discourse and debate is "influencing the election" well I'm sorry to say, but the internet pretty much made it impossible to stop such a thing.
By the by, do unto others as you would to them. You don't care if someone leglislates tofu diets but hey, bombing countries because they're "evil" in your book - that's A-OK.
