i always eat ice cream when it's cold out. one year on christmas eve, i was eating an ice cream cone, and then decided to go shopping. a news camera crew were interviewing last minute shoppers, and at one point, the camera crew and reporter just stopped what they were doing, and watched me walk by eating an ice cream cone. i guess i should've mentioned it was also about 20 degrees F, ha.

but this thing...seriously, those ice pop/otter pop/freeze pops are CHEAP. why bother making them? i bought a box of 100 one summer for $5. It was nearly winter by the time i got through most of them, and at that point, i was sick of eating them. i'm sure there's still a stray one left in my freezer.

i mean, the snoopy snow cone machine...that's a classic. this thing is just a waste of money.

regarding the comment about leaving bacon out overnight...how about they had in a UV sanitizing light in there, to prevent unwanted bacteria build-up? haha

i actually don't like bacon that much, but i will admit that waking up to someone making breakfast, and smelling that bacon smell is a pretty good way to wake up.

this would be great in a lab setting where you need shoe covers, and always have people coming in and out. i'll admit, there have been quite a few times where i've put on covers and gloves...then realized i forgot foot covers.

yeah, too bad this isn't bookcase-sized. i want a whole wall unit that is a clock. i bet it would be pretty sweet at night, with all the lights turned off.

just like the last game you wrote about, this one brings back so many memories. another game i played on my apple back in the day. i LOVED driving that Lotus...mainly because it was blue, haha. but like you, i remember playing it, and thinking "man, this is so REAL!"

i remember playing this, but i played it on my apple II. i LOVED when that backboard shattered! and i loved sinking far away shots as larry bird.

but i have to say, seeing these screenshots...man, this game looked a lot better when i was younger, haha. i didn't realize how pixelated everything was.

so basically, this is a green laser pointer with a holographic diffraction grating built in? i mean, don't get me wrong, it's cool...but still.

yeah this is great...until you really really have to go. you know, like "nervously fumbling with your keys to open the door, so you can get to your bathroom" situations.

i've always been interested in this kind of tech for graphics and such. like maybe to make some simple sketches that i can then import in photoshop or illustrator, and flesh design ideas out. do you think you could do a few freehand drawing tests, to see how the conversion is from the drawn images?

i have a pretty bright green laser pointer, and one thing i've always wanted to do is to measure the spot size that occurs from beam divergence...but like from a mile away. i haven't done it myself with mine, because a) i haven't found a line of sight, 1 mile area b) i have no friends to help me, or who would want to help me, haha.

i love/loathe philippe starck as much as the next industrial designer, but honestly, what the hell is this?!? i'll tell you what it is, it's freakin' creeeeepy. want to give that special child nightmares? give them this. and don't forget to tell them the bedtime story of how the teddy bear killed the other animals, and keeps their heads as trophies.

umm, yeah, so Bruce, you do realize that iodine is a trace element that humans require in order to live, right? sure it's poisonous...if you're ingesting grams of it.

but if this thing is running, won't you hear the noise when you talk? i'd think that it would be pretty distracting, like whenever you would start talking, you'd hear some gibberish coming out of the box.

matthew, it does have a resemblance to the Elise, but that's because Lotus Engineering designed it. technically, the car is longer than the elise, and all the body panels are different. but the elise profile is still there. i guess if they created a car totally from the ground up, it would've cost more.
