I've been learning erlang and working on a gen_server that uses the "distributed applications" feature and replicated mnesia. I can kill one of the servers and the other takes over with the same state.

Re: Norwegian Good

Step 1. GM,Ford, Honda and Toyota all produce 'rolling' cars they normally install internal combustion engines in ready for an electric motor to be installed. These will be OEM cars, so all branding will be removed. Step 2. A different company produces and installs electric motor and batteries. Big automakers don't risk liability of electrics, but their mass-produced shells bring the price down. Electric installers get their cut and take on problems.

Re: Urban Modular Architectural Wind Power Microturbines!

4 feet (1.25 m diameter), gives a swiped area of about 1.22 square meter. A modern wind turbine can have a diameter of 80m , giving a swiped area of more than 5000 square meter, which means that you need at least 4000 of the microturbines to produce as much power. Then a city is probably not the most ideal location for wind either, so you probably need even more of them. A neat idea, but it does not scale. This is microturbines also in terms of power production.

Re: Fluorescent Bulbs that Last 13,000 hrs by Panasonic

I don't get the story here.
