in Instructions for updating the Acer Aspire One BIOS on NetbookTech
I'm looking to buy the Aspire One... did the BIOS update fix the noisy fan issue?

I know several people claim the BIOS update did nothing for their Aspire One. However (maybe it's just my head here), I could swear the fan appears to be responding now to the temperature of the netbook. If it isn't working for you, you could still install the 3rd party fan control application for Windows.
